Ji Chang Wook and Doh Kyung Soo engage in a fierce face-off in The Manipulated.
The Manipulated is an action drama that follows Tae Jung (Ji Chang Wook), an ordinary man who gets wrongfully imprisoned for a heinous crime, only to discover that everything was orchestrated by Yo Han (Doh Kyung Soo). He then sets out to take revenge on him.
The stills give a glimpse of Tae Jung, whose life has been shattered, Yo Han, who orchestrates the events, and other characters who become entangled in the whole situation.
The scene of Tae Jung being arrested by the police, who suddenly show up on what had been an ordinary day for him, piques curiosity about why he has been falsely branded a heinous criminal. Yo Han, gazing with a cold expression at a sculpture with a weeping face, creates a subtle, chilling atmosphere.
Tae Jung, staring blankly at the church cross, meets Noh Yong Sik (Kim Jong Soo) in prison, who becomes like a benefactor to him, and begins to endure the hardships of prison. Noh Eun Bi (Jo Yoon Soo) is Noh Yong Sik's only daughter and is set to play an active role as Tae Jung's ally.
The still showing Yo Han's VIP client, Do Kyung (Lee Kwang Soo), also draws attention. In addition, Yo Han walking out of a room filled with numerous CCTV screens capturing people's every move piques curiosity about what he is planning and orchestrating.
Ji Chang Wook commented, "The Manipulated is a fresh revenge story with a lot of different things to see, and a kind of drama [you'll be seeing] after a long time," while Doh Kyung Soo emphasized, "The characters have distinct personalities, and the fast-paced plot and exhilarating action scenes are the highlights."
The Manipulated will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on November 5 with four episodes, followed by two episodes each week, for a total of 12 episodes.
