Winners of 24th Director's Cut Awards announced
Time-slip drama Dream of Golden Years has been confirmed to premiere on March 17.
Dream of Golden Years tells the story of modern-day woman Xia Xiao Lan, who is unexpectedly transported back in time to 1983, and finds herself as an 18-year-old girl. Through hard work, she earns admission to university and starts her entrepreneurial journey by selling duck eggs and fried pancakes, gradually expanding into clothing resale and real estate. By struggling her way through the business world, she turns her life around.
Modern female executive Xia Xiao Lan is pushed to the brink when her company collapses, and she is set up to take the fall. In the depths of despair, she slips into the past, where she finds herself as a beautiful 18-year-old girl. Penniless, powerless, and with no one to depend on, she has only her beauty, her mother, and her youth. Yet armed with quick wit, she always manages to carve out a way to survive even in the direst situations.
Step by step, Xia Xiao Lan charges forward, determined to seize every opportunity to pursue an education, with the firm belief that knowledge is the way to changing one's destiny. Legend of the Female General actress Zhou Ye stars as Xia Xiao Lan. Joining her are Zhai Xiao Wen, Dong Xuan, Lawrence Wong, Zhao Da, and Kevin Z, among others.
