
Ju Ji Hoon, Shin Min Ah, Lee Jong Suk, and Lee Se Young are the main leads of 'The Remarried Empress
The official main cast of The Remarried Empress is finally confirmed.
On April 14, it was officially confirmed that Shin Min Ah, Ju Ji Hoon, Lee Jong Suk, and Lee Se Young will work together to bring to life the romance fantasy K-drama The Remarried Empress.
The Remarried Empress will focus on the life of Navier, the perfect empress of the Eastern Empire. After discovering that her husband, Sovieshu, the emperor of the Eastern Empire, was cheating, she divorced him. She then sought an opportunity to become an empress elsewhere and married Heinrey, the emperor of the Western Empire. The K-drama will base its story on the web novel by the same name, Alpha Tart.
The upcoming K-drama will be the joint work of director Jo Soo Won (My Happy Ending, Today's Webtoon, Pinocchio) and writer Yeo Ji Na (The Uncanny Counter and The Man Who Can't Get Married).
The Remarried Empress will reportedly premiere in 2026, and it will exclusively air on Disney+. The series will have a total of 10 episodes.
Shin Min Ah will portray Navier Ellie Trovi, the empress of the Eastern Empire. Informed of her divorce by her husband, she instead requested to remarry another emperor. While the reported casting of Shin Min Ah drew mixed reactions, with some doubting her compatibility with the character, the actress has confirmed her participation and embraced the opportunity.
Ju Ji Hoon will play the role of Sovieshu, the husband of Shin Min Ah's character, Navier Ellie Trovi, and the emperor of the Eastern Empire.
Lee Jong Suk will play Heinrey, the emperor of the Western Empire, the man Navier intends to remarry.
Lastly, Lee Se Young will take on the role of Rashta Isqua, a runaway slave whose goal is the Empress's throne.
