Netflix unveils stills from The Great Flood.

The Great Flood depicts the desperate fight to save a child after a great flood strikes Earth on its final day.

The stills capture the gripping tension as people stand at the edge of a cliff amid the irresistible disaster of a great flood. AI researcher An Na (Kim Da Mi) hurries to escape the apartment, struggling as the water has risen to her knees.

Hui Jo (Park Hae Soo), a member of the personnel security team at the AI research institute where An Na works, is shown moving forward level by level as he fulfills his mission to take the two up to the rooftop.

The stills also give a glimpse of An Na submerged in the massive sea that has swallowed the world. The stills showing Ja In bursting into tears as if searching for his mother, Hui Jo protecting him, and Anna desperately reaching out toward something pique curiosity about whether they will be able to protect humanity's final hope.

Kim Da Mi commented, "I wanted to show more of the growth the character experiences as the story progresses through extreme circumstances. It was difficult, but it was a character through which I was able to learn a lot."

Park Hae Soo said, "I was drawn to how [the story] brought out the attitude or nature of a human being that comes out within a confined space."

Director Kim Byung Woo stated, "The title The Great Flood contains two aspects: genre and meaning. When the film reaches its final point, I hope it is received not as a genre piece but with a different meaning. That shift in perception is the highlight of the film."

The Great Flood premieres on December 19, only on Netflix.
