'The East Palace' Kwak Dong Yeon talks military enlistment, grueling special-effects makeup & more
SBS unveils teaser for No Tail to Tell, which reveals the secret and special "pro tips" of Eun Ho (Kim Hye Yoon), a nine-tailed fox who dreams of eternal life.
No Tail to Tell tells the story of a peculiar gumiho, Eun Ho (Kim Hye Yoon) — who, unlike the typical ones, avoids becoming human at all costs to enjoy all the fun things life has to offer — and narcissistic soccer star Kang Si Yeol (Lomon), who crosses paths with her.
Kim Hye Yoon takes on the role of Eun Ho, an MZ-generation nine-tailed fox who has no desire to become human. Fearing that even the slightest good deed might turn her into a human, she avoids even small acts of kindness, while restraining her misdeeds to only the "big ones" lest she lose her thousand years of power.
Lomon plays Kang Si Yeol, a world-class soccer player. A celebrated football star who shines brighter than his entire team, he has made a name for himself as a leading striker for a renowned foreign club.
Meanwhile, the teaser offers a glimpse into the life of Eun Ho, a nine-tailed fox who chases only the "pure fun" of the human world.
Saying, "Living as a gumiho is all about enjoying only what's fun, without any hardship," Eun Ho openly shares the gumiho survival methods she has mastered over the past roughly 900 years. The first tip: a ban on good deeds to avoid becoming human. The second tip: a ban on liver harvesting. Saying, "Don't gumiho rip out and eat human livers? Why would I do that?" Eun Ho pokes at human stereotypes.
From a suspicious business of granting the wishes of wealthy humans in exchange for payment to a strict business rule, curiosity grows about Eun Ho's everyday life, and how she will begin to see the world in a different light after meeting Si Yeol.
No Tail to Tell is set to premiere on January 16, 2026. The K-drama will be available to stream on Netflix.
