Actor Kim Min Seok is confirmed to join the upcoming tvN K-drama Typhoon Boss.
On February 20, it was officially confirmed that Kim Min Seok will join hands with confirmed cast 2 PM's Lee Jun Ho, Kim Min Ha, Sung Dong Il, and Kim Ji Young.
This will be the second upcoming K-drama of Kim Min Seok. The actor is also leading the TVING K-drama Shark 2: The Storm with Lee Hyun Wook, Lee Jung Hyun, Bae Myung Jin, Park Jin, and Jung Da Eun. This is the K-drama version of the 2021 film Shark: The Beginning.
This will also be Kim Min Seok's comeback to tvN after eight years. He last starred in the broadcast channel in 2017 through the series Because This Is My First Life.
Kim Min Seok will also lead the upcoming film Night Fever alongside Woo Do Hwan, Jang Dong Gun, Girls Day's Lee Hye Ri, Park Sung Hoon, and Kim Min.
The actor is known for being part of the K-dramas Mr. Plankton, My Military Valentine, Delivery Man, Lovestruck in the City, Because This Is My First Life, Defendant, Doctors, Descendants of the Sun, and more.
Typhoon Boss will showcase the struggles of Typhoon Company and their employees during the 1997 IMF crisis. The K-drama will focus on Kang Tae Poong, the CEO of Typhoon Company.
The upcoming K-drama will be the next work of director Lee Na Jung who also created the K-dramas Fight for My Way, See You in My 19th Life, Mine, Love Alarm, Oh My Venus, and The Innocent Man. The script will be written by rookie writer Jang Hyun.
Kim Min Seok will portray the role of Wang Nam Moo, the best friend of Lee Jun Ho's character Kang Tae Pung.
Typhoon Boss will air in the second half of 2025. It will exclusively air on tvN and will have a total of 16 episodes.
