Go Soo leaves BH Entertainment after 15 Years
kiDnap GAME has unveiled Lee Joon Gi's stills.
kiDnap GAME centers on kidnapping cases that break out simultaneously across seven Asian cities — Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Naha, and Manila — and follows characters who enter a life-or-death survival game to save someone they hold dear.
A Korean-Japanese-Hong Kong production, the drama stars acclaimed actors including Sakaguchi Kentaro, Lee Joon Gi, Ko Chia Yen, Stanley Yau, and Carrie Wong.
Lee Joon Gi takes on the role of genius doctor Han Ki Joo. Han Ki Joo is a highly skilled surgeon from Seoul who left the medical field for a certain reason. He is currently effectively retired, living a quiet life while occasionally providing advice to his juniors.
His peaceful daily life is shattered when his only young daughter is kidnapped. To get his daughter back, Han Ki Joo enters the mysterious game. He is faced with a difficult choice between his conviction as a doctor who has dedicated his life to saving lives and his instinct as a father who must save his daughter.
The stills feature Lee Joon Gi in character as Han Ki Joo. Amid a calm and restrained atmosphere, he portrays a man living with wounds from his past.
The production team stated, "Lee Joon Gi vividly portrays the desperation of a father who pushes beyond his limits to save his beloved daughter through his deeply immersive acting. We are confident that the high-intensity suspense that only actor Lee Joon Gi can deliver will create an even more powerful synergy amid unpredictable dilemmas."
kiDnap GAME premieres on October 6. It will be available to stream on Viu (select regions).
