Hong Hwa Yeon enters a cooking competition to restore her father's honor in 'Final Table'
Assassin(s) has released a trailer featuring Yoo Hai Jin, Park Hae Il, and Lee Min Ho in a fierce pursuit of the truth behind an incident that shook the entire Korea.
Assassin(s) follows the investigation into the suspicions and masterminds behind the assassination attempt on South Korea's First Lady on August 15, 1974. Blending historical records with unanswered questions and cinematic imagination, the film is a mystery investigation drama. It is reportedly the first film to dramatize this real-life case, exploring a true story never before depicted on screen.
Yoo Hai Jin, Park Hae Il, and Lee Min Ho star as leads.
The trailer features detective Cheol Gu (Yoo Hai Jin), reporter Jae Hwan (Park Hae Il), and Young Il (Lee Min Ho), each approaching the truth behind the shocking incident.
Cheol Gu, a police superintendent at Jungbu Police Station who witnessed the scene, refuses to stop the investigation despite those around him urging him to do so. "We're doing this to catch the culprit. Isn't that our job?" he says, revealing his determination to pursue the case to the very end.
Jae Hwan, editor of the Social Affairs Department at Dongseong Ilbo, also follows the circumstances surrounding the case. "What matters to a reporter is the truth," he says, asking Cheol Gu whether he can catch the culprit regardless of who they are.
Even when threatened by Sang Pil (Park Hoon), an agent of an intelligence agency, Jae Hwan refuses to back down, saying, "I have a duty to let the people know."
Rookie reporter Young Il keeps asking questions, running from place to place, and chasing clues. "The one who is trying to hide something is the culprit. But everyone is hiding something right now," he says as he digs into the truth behind the case.
Adding to the tension, scenes of the three men's pursuit are intercut with glimpses of the assassin preparing to carry out the crime. The trailer also shows Cheol Gu, Jae Hwan, and Young Il amid intense physical confrontations, shouting, "Tell the truth. Who gave the order?" and "Let's bring together our burning hearts."
