Lee Sung Kyung and Chae Jong Hyeop are confirmed to lead the MBC K-drama In Your Brilliant Season.
On September 25, MBC confirmed that In Your Brilliant Season will begin airing in the first half of 2026 with Lee Sung Kyung and Chae Jong Hyeop as the main leads of the upcoming thriller romance K-drama.
In Your Brilliant Season will tell the story of a man who lives as if every day is a summer vacation and a woman who has emotionally shut herself off, as if life is a cold winter.
The upcoming K-drama will be the joint work of director Park Seon Ho (Business Proposal) and writer Jo Sung Hee (Thirty but Seventeen and She Was Pretty).
According to reports, Lee Sung Kyung and Chae Jong Hyeop will also be joined by renowned actress Lee Mi Sook in the upcoming series.
In Your Brilliant Series will premiere in the first half of 2026, and it will have a total of 12 episodes. It will exclusively air on MBC.
Lee Sung Kyung will give life to the character named Song Ha Ran. She is a talented fashion designer at Nana Atelier who has a great fear of losing the people she loves. However, after meeting Sun Woo Chan, she gradually opens up and lets down her guard.
Chae Jong Hyeop will be Sun Woo Chan in the upcoming K-drama. He currently works as an animator at a popular American animation studio. He lost his memory and hearing after an accident.
