Jung Hae In and Ha Young tease sweet synergy in 'Our Sticky Love' trailer
The much-awaited Chinese thriller Legend of the Female General has confirmed its premiere date for August 6.
Legend of the Female General follows He Yan, the eldest daughter of the He family, who, to protect her family's noble title, is forced to wear a mask and pretend to be the family's eldest son, He Ru Fei. Determined to escape her family's fate, she heads to the battlefield. Years later, He Yan returns home in glory but finds herself betrayed by her family when her brother reappears. After surviving a near-fatal incident, He Yan adopts a new identity and disguises herself as a man to enlist in the military at Yezhou, determined to reclaim what rightfully belongs to her.
Zhou Ye plays the lead role of He Yan, who disguises herself as the family's eldest son to protect their nobility.
Ryan Cheng plays Xiao Jue, who met He Yan at Xianchang Hall when he was young. He reunites with her when she enlists in the military disguised as a man. Together, they take on numerous incidents, including the Sun family incident, the Ji Yang Princess affair, and the battle to defend Rundu.
Zhang Kang Le plays Chu Zhao, a promising inspector. His graceful demeanor and refined manners exude nobility. But few have glimpsed his forbearance and calculating side. In the world of politics, where undercurrents surge, Chu Zhao adeptly navigates between rival factions. Zhang Miao Yi takes on the role of Song Tao Tao, a lively 20-year-old from a family of physicians. Known for her straightforward nature and fearlessness, she has a strong passion for the study of poisons and is determined to compile a book titled "The Compendium of Poisons".
Li Qing plays Cheng Li Su, a 23-year-old exceptionally talented and skilled in medicine, who trained under the chief physician of the Imperial Infirmary. Though he may seem somewhat aloof, he shows decisiveness and knows how to adapt in times of crisis.
Bai Shu takes on the role of He Ru Fei, the He family's eldest son and He Yan's elder brother. Refusing to settle for an ordinary life, he strikes a deal with Prime Minister Xu Jing Fu to orchestrate He Yan's death and assume her identity, becoming General Fei Hong. However, when He Yan unexpectedly survives, his murderous ambitions resurface once again.
