Kim Sae Ron's posthumous film 'Everyday, We' confirmed to premiere in 2026
The new installment of the hit film Okay! Madam has officially announced its cast members.
On November 11, the production team of the upcoming movie Okay! Madam 2 released photos of the script reading, and it was then confirmed that Uhm Jung Hwa, Park Sung Woong, Lee Sang Yoon, and Bae Jung Nam will reprise their roles, while Girls Generation's Choi Soo Young, Park Jin Joo, and Ryeo Un will be the new additions to the cast lineup.
According to reports, Okay! Madam 2 already began filming on October 16. The upcoming movie will reportedly premiere in Korean theaters next year.
The prequel, Okay! Madam is an action comedy movie that revolves around a family caught up in a plane hijacking incident. It was the family's first overseas trip after winning a free trip to Hawaii. While the passengers became hostages, the family reveals each other's hidden past to rescue them and stop the hijacking. The sequel, Okay! Madam 2 is set on a luxury cruise ship.
Okay! Madam was helmed by director Lee Chul Ha and written by Shin Hyun Sung. Lee Chul Ha will return to direct the sequel.
The director shared his insights on the upcoming film, "Despite the prequel being released during the pandemic, it still received a lot of love. In Okay! Madam 2, we will combine the talents of experienced staff and actors will allow us to create a more entertaining film.”
Uhm Jung Hwa, the main lead of the upcoming film, also shared, "This is the very first time that I'm starring in a sequel in my entire career. It's an honor that the work I dearly love is getting a sequel. I promise to repay viewers with a great performance once again."
Uhm Jung Hwa will continue her role os Lee Mi Young, the heroine of the film. Park Sung Woong will also return as her husband, named Oh Seok Hwan, who was a former National Intelligence Service desk officer. Lee Sang Yoon will also continue to portray the role of Cheol Sung, the North Korean special agent. Lastly, Bae Jung Nam will be back as Jung Hyun Min, the flight attendant who helped Lee Mi Young in the first installment of the film.
Meanwhile, the new additions to the cast will be Choi Soo Young, Park Jin Joo, and Ryeo Un.
Choi Soo Young will portray the character who will invite Lee Mi Young's family to join the luxury cruise. Park Jin Joo, on the other hand, will play as Sun Ah, the cruise cabin team leader. Ryeoun will be the magician working on the cruise.
