Netflix ropes in Lee Jae Wook, Go Min Si, Kim Min Ha, and Lee Hee Joon for a horror K-drama
Undercover High School releases character posters giving a glimpse of Seo Kang Joon's school life and the character dynamics of Jin Ki Joo and Kim Shin Rok.
Undercover High School tells the story of a National Intelligence Service agent Jung Hae Seong (Seo Kang Joon) who goes undercover as a high school student to track the whereabouts of Emperor Gojong's missing gold bars.
The posters offer a glimpse into the unique character traits of Jung Hae Seong (Seo Kang Joon), Oh Soo Ah (Jin Ki Joo), and Seo Myung Joo (Kim Shin Rok).
Seo Kang Joon's poster features him walking through a crowd of students. The text on the poster reads, "I'm Jung Hae Seong. This time, I'm a new transfer student." He becomes entangled in incidents involving the students and teachers at the school, as he carries out his secret mission.
Jin Ki Joo wears a bright smile as she says, "Nice to meet you. I'm Oh Soo Ah, your homeroom teacher." A temporary teacher, Oh Soo Ah takes pride in her love for her students, and approaches her job with unwavering passion. However, despite her bright and positive demeanor, she carries a wound in her heart, which she doesn't share with others.
Kim Shin Rok's presence commands attention. The text on her poster reads, "Let's see how you play." Her piercing gaze radiates charisma and authority.
Amidst it all, Seo Kang Joon, Jin Ki Joo, and Kim Shin Rok each carry their own storylines as they navigate their school lives.
The production team of Undercover High School stated, "The second set of posters captures Hae Seong standing in front of the school, Soo Ah as a member of the school, and Myung Joo reigning over the school. While all three are within the same space — Byungmoon High School — they each hold different positions and meanings."
They further explained, "Hae Seong is shown from a high angle, as if someone is watching him. Soo Ah is shown at mid shot, seen from the students' perspective. And Myung Joo is captured from a low angle, looking down on everyone."
Undercover High School is set to premiere on February 21. News about the K-dramas global OTT platform is yet to come.
