SBS gives a glimpse of upcoming K-drama lineup
Actress Shin Hae Sun will star in SBS's new drama Dash.
On June 1, SBS announced production of new drama Dash, starring Shin Hae Sun.
Dash is a mystery-suspense drama that follows prosecutor Min Hwa Young (Shin Hae Sun), who is determined to uphold justice with her own hands, as she relentlessly chases the truth surrounding her husband, who has become a murder suspect.
Shin Hae Sun's character, Min Hwa Young, is the lead prosecutor of the Special Investigation Division 1 at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office. She is driven by a determination to uncover the truth behind her mother's mysterious death. Although she possesses the talent and capability that enabled her to break through countless external pressures and secure a position in the Special Investigation Division 1 — the department where the greatest power within the prosecution is concentrated — she finds herself torn between love and truth when her husband becomes a murder suspect.
Regarding Min Hwa Young's struggle to uncover the truth to the very end, even as she herself is broken and destroyed in the process, the production team explained their casting decision, saying, "Shin Hye Sun was the only actress who could fully bring Min Hwa Young's desperate and harrowing journey to life as she fights to uncover the truth, even at the cost of her own destruction."
Dash is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2027.
