Song Joong Ki embarks on an exciting acting transformation in My Youth.
My Youth follows Seon Woo Hae (Song Joong Ki), once a beloved child actor who lost his light due to greed of adults around him, now lives quietly as a novelist and florist. His calm life is disrupted when Seong Je Yeon (Chun Woo Hee) suddenly reappears. Together, they once endured their darkest days, and their reunion stirs long-buried memories. Je Yeon, now a team leader at Feel Entertainment, after suffering from her family's sudden downfall, lives only for success.
Song plays Seon Woo Hae, once a star child actor, who now lives an ordinary life.

The stills show Seon Woo Hae surrounded by flowers. A former child star who rose to the prime of his life too quickly, Seon is now a florist who began living an ordinary life later than most. His daily routine — sauntering through the flower market at dawn and tending to his plants during the day — is pure happiness for someone who spent his youth in darkness and deep fractures. His serene smile further piques curiosity about the life story of a man who has built his existence solidly upon his wounds. It also deepens the intrigue as to why Seon Woo Hae, who is also a novelist, hides his name and lives shrouded in secrecy.

Regarding why he joined My Youth, Song Joong Ki shared, "The moment I read the script for My Youth, I felt a sense of warmth. I liked that it was a warm melodrama and a story with a human touch, which I hadn't come across in a while. Unlike my previous characters, which often had strong fantasy elements, Seon Woo Hae, who is deeply grounded in reality, touched me deeply."
My Youth is coming September 5, and will air two episodes back-to-back every Friday. Global viewers can watch it on Viu (Asia, the Middle East, and Africa), and Rakuten Viki (the Americas, Europe, Oceania, the Middle East, and India).
