Disney+'s The Remarried Empress has confirmed its release for November 4. Along with the announcement, a teaser and character posters have been released.

The Remarried Empress tells the story of Empress Navier (Shin Min Ah), the perfect empress of the Eastern Empire, who is divorced by her husband, Emperor Sovieshu (Ju Ji Hoon) — who fell for Rashta (Lee Se Young) — and subsequently marries Prince Heinrey (Lee Jong Suk) of the Western Kingdom.

The teaser captures the process of Navier and Sovieshu's relationship falling apart. Sovieshu promises Navier, "No matter what happens, you are the only woman who will ever be my wife," but the situation changes with Rashta's arrival.

Sovieshu falls for Rashta, who begins to enjoy a different life under the emperor's favor. Meanwhile, Navier watches the two of them while being the empress.

Navier says, "I never imagined this would happen to me." Heinrey, the "playboy prince from an enemy kingdom," brings a new change.

Ultimately, Sovieshu demands a divorce from Navier. Rather than refusing, Navier makes an unexpected choice. She agrees to the divorce while simultaneously demanding approval to remarry Heinrey.

The character posters also capture each of the four characters' positions. The poster for Navier, played by Shin Min Ah, features the line, "I request an approval of my remarriage." It highlights her demeanor as she, despite the sudden divorce, maintains her position as empress and makes her own decision about what comes next.

Sovieshu, played by Ju Ji Hoon, appears seated on the throne alongside the line, "I must divorce the empress." The central axis of the conflict is what choice the emperor, who once promised Navier a lifetime together, will make after meeting Rashta.

Lee Jong Suk transforms into Heinrey. Accompanied by the line, "It's an honor to meet you, my Queen," the poster reveals the prince of the Western Kingdom.

Lee Se Young takes on the role of Rashta, a runaway slave who gains the emperor's favor. Alongside the line, "Rashta is so happy these days!", her choices following her sudden change in status also affect the relationship among the four.
