Doctor Cha actress Uhm Jung HwaSong Seung HeonLee El, and Oh Dae Hwan are coming armed with delightful comic acting in My Troublesome Star.

The upcoming Genie TV original drama My Troublesome Star unveiled its main trailer.

The K-drama follows Im Se Ra (Jang Da A), South Korea's top star, who suddenly disappears and wakes up again as an ordinary middle-aged woman, Bong Cheong Ja (Uhm Jung Hwa), losing 25 years.

Pandora: Beneath the Paradise director Choi Young Hoon joins forces with Miss Night and Day writer Park Ji Ha.

The trailer opens with Bong Cheong Ja having a meltdown. It's no longer 1999 but 2025. The "nation's star" Im Se Ra has vanished without a trace, and she has become nothing more than "just an ordinary citizen," Bong Cheong Ja.

She insists she is Im Se Ra, but in a world where no one believes her, she can only feel bitter. However, the twist comes when Dok Go Cheol exclaims, "Bong Cheong Ja is really Im Se Ra!"

Robbed of decades in an instant, Bong Cheong Ja declares a comeback, which stirs up changes for Go Hee Young (Lee El) and Kang Doo Won (Oh Dae Hwan). Go Hee Young, a supporting actress who struggled in the shadow of Im Se Ra, rose to become a top-tier actress after her disappearance. Kang Doo Won, the road manager who once tiptoed around Im Se Ra, has now become a talent agency's CEO, dominating the industry. When Kang Doo Won confidently says, "Sign with me," Bong Cheong Ja boldly sets her eyes on her comeback. But on a journey, where she must start from nothing instead of as a top star, her comeback show proves to be a rocky road right from the beginning.

Encouraged by Dok Go Cheol's words, "Square your shoulders and hold your head high," Bong Cheong Ja confidently prepares for her grand comeback show. Will Bong Cheong Ja shine in the limelight again?

My Troublesome Star will premiere on August 18. News about the K-drama's global OTT is yet to come. Watch the trailer here
