'True Education': Kim Mu Yeol & team to teach hard lesson to those undermining the education system
The Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines, starring IU and Park Bo Gum, has been ranked No. 1 on Time Magazine's list of "The 10 Best Korean Dramas of 2025".
Time praised the series, writing, "This year’s best K-drama—and one of the year’s best TV series, full stop — told a beautiful, deeply engaging story using only the stuff real life is made of. When Life Gives You Tangerines unfolds the story of the rebellious yet endearing Ae Soon and the diligent Gwan Sik as they navigate the seasons of life, facing challenges and trials along the way. IU and Park Bo Gum play the young versions of Ae Soon and Gwan Sik, whereas Moon So Ri and Park Hae Joon portray the characters' middle-aged versions.
When Life Gives You Tangerines topped Netflix's Global Top 10 Series (non-English) chart and remained in the Top 10 for eight consecutive weeks. Its viewership in the first half of the year reached approximately 35 million.
The K-drama swept major honors, winning four awards at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards, three at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards, six at the APAN Star Awards, two at the KCA Culture and Entertainment Awards, and five at the FUNdex Awards.
The K-drama also currently holds a 9.3 rating in MDL, and has been rated 1st on IMDb for "Top-Rated TV Shows of 2025 So Far".
