Kim Bong Sik

Fictional Character

A typical incompetent senior officer, he sees the Criminal Behavioral Analysis Team as a waste and frequently curses at Song Ha Yeong, calling him a backstabber. The case, however, isn't about betrayal but corruption: a prosecutor took bribes and had Kim Bong Sik arrest a false suspect, which Song Ha Yeong discovered. Kim Bong Sik was demoted but returned later.

Unaware of his own corruption, he feels unjustly maligned. His behavior mirrors that of a criminal, and he created the perception that Song Ha Yeong backstabbed him. He mocked the team on his first visit, belittled Yun Tae Gu, and often left his post for leisure, like playing poker or visiting saunas. His superiors tolerate him due to his connections.

He meddled at crime scenes, trying to take credit, and leaked confidential details to the media. Kim Bong Sik mocked Song Ha Yeong, leading to a reprimand from Superintendent Baek Jun Sik. Despite this, he remained unrepentant and belittled others, ultimately getting slapped by a subordinate.

Though he caught Gu Yeong Chun after receiving a bribe, he lost him at the police station, a blunder his colleagues corrected. His failure led to his demotion, though he continued to harass Song Ha Yeong, sending a photo of him to the media against his wishes.
