Na Bong Seon

Bong Seon has been a little slow and lacking in just about everything since childhood. She wasn't particularly healthy, wasn't much to look at, and lacked social skills. Still, those were things she could live with. But after ghosts began approaching her and talking to her, she had to retreat even further into her own little world.

She tosses and turns at night, barely sleeps, and spends her days nodding off, frequently getting herself into trouble. She makes a living washing dishes as a kitchen assistant at a restaurant run by a famous star chef, but even there, she never knows when she'll be fired. Her grandmother gave her the name Bong Seon, meaning “to serve the gods,” in the hope that she would become a shaman. But to the rest of the kitchen staff, she's just the easy target, the pushover Bong Seon (bongseon / a doormat).

Despite everything, there's one reason she can't bring herself to leave the restaurant: Kang Seon U, the chef she's had a crush on for years. No one knows about her long-standing, unwavering devotion to him. But the person who knows the least about it is Seon U himself. He's a cold, no-nonsense man who always keeps things strictly professional, but for some reason, he's particularly icy toward Bong Seon.

Eventually, after nearly setting the entire kitchen on fire, Bong Seon has no choice but to leave, holding back tears. Then, there's a long stretch of time she can't remember. When she finally comes to, she feels strangely dazed, and people tell her she's been doing things she has no recollection of. Could someone have taken over her body?
