Once a first-place idol on a music show, Um Jae Il is now just a resident who sleeps well. A former member of Hi Boys, a group with one fleeting hit, Jae Il was always last in dancing, singing, and popularity. However, his high IQ and mental math skills led him to quiz shows, and eventually, after much struggle, to medical school.
He dreamed of applause as the "first idol-turned-resident", but reality was harsh: unstable grades, a failed National Medical Licensing Examination, last place rankings, and even rejection from every residency department. Just as hope faded, the understaffed obstetrics and gynecology department called his name.
Determined to bloom where he was welcomed, Jae Il gives his all, rushing through wards, calling seniors endlessly, sacrificing sleep and meals to learn and grow, never giving up.
