Watching the first closing credits , I just realized that the editing of the visuals and lyrics illustrates Xiao Yao’s story ("I look back on my past": seeing her playing and paying respects to her family with Cang Xuan) and her love for Xiang Liu.

-"Only emptiness remained" : when she resumes her life as a princess, driving them apart.

-"Enduring all things in my life" : when she worries about her cousin.

-"I valued all but indifferent to wealth and fame. Basking in the sun, I couldn't feel your sunlight" : when she is with Tushan Jing—a man she grows to appreciate, though he is not her true love.

I don't understand how some people still fail to realize that Xiao Yao loves Xiang Liu—and only him. The proof is right there: she has never held a grudge against him for anything—whether he mistreated her or was her family's sworn enemy, she always comes back to him and does everything she can to help him. Tushan Jing, on the other hand, isn't allowed a single mistake, since she doesn't love him and he is only there to ensure she has a quiet life.

Why is Tushan Jing certain that Xiao Yao is a woman after seeing her blush?

The answer is simple: regardless of his own orientation, he knows that a man can be flustered by another man. However, blushing while watching a man undress—when one feels nothing for him—is a reaction specific to a woman.

This is further proof that Xiao Yao loves only Xiang Liu.
