why are so many cdramas cast much younger actresses with old actors . like the guy is 35 and he looks awful too, if roles were reversed we wouldnt hear the end of it . whats swoon worthy about an ancient man liking a young girl. Its honestly creepy

I get your concern about pairing young actresses with old actors but to be honest in the case of this drama the age gap is not that huge  song suzer is an adult not a minor and another thing is that the casting is done based on popularity and star ranking and not age and i think it is really rude of you to say this about the actor's appearance what the hell is ugly with him i personally think he is quite attractive  i know beauty is subjective but this is just too much people don't have decency anymore how would you feel if someone told you you were ugly

She was 23 when she filmed and yes she is a baby especially compared to him being almost middle age

She was 23, he was 32. 

A 32 year old is an old man?

no she's not too young lol and there is nothing wrong with their pairing. If you really have an issue with their ages then just dont watch the show lol.

If you actually read the novel and this show stays true to the novel, FL should be underage  and should be way younger than the ML. 🤷🏻‍♀️

In the novel, the FL was 15 when she married Wei Shao aged 22.  She had just turned 15 two days before her marriage.  

During the period, it was normal for girls who had menstruated to be married off to older men.  Some ended up marrying  40-year old males.  Like the Dowager Empress Xiao Zhuang of the Qing Dynasty of China.
