I just finished this drama and was looking for scenepacks of this couple since I shipped them. Bros, we got nuthin'... so yeah, I took it upon myself to compile a timestamp list of their scenes (with brief descriptions only).
Some are also solo scenes of Xueji 'cause I thought they had some significance in showing the kind of character Xueji has.

Episode 9
30:14 – [solo] Xueji is with her sisters. Jewellery is delivered to them and one of her mean sisters tells her she’s betrothed to the bandit subdued by her father. She picks a tiny ring that doesn’t fit.
Episode 10
11:10 – Xueji and Zi Yu have their first meeting to finalise their betrothal.
Episode 12
17:23 – Xueji is buying bolts of cloth for her sisters when she encounters Zi Yu on the streets.
- Important objects in this scene: the tiny ring which Zi Yu notices; the street mochi Xueji drops and is picked up by Zi Yu
Episode 15
11:41 – Xueji order pork knuckles not fit for a lady (she’s supposed to be buying jewellery lmao) but Zi Yu spots her. They eat together.
30:55 – Zi Yu and Sun meet with General Shi. Xueji meets Ms. Sun. Ms. Sun later tries to “mark her territory”.
Episode 18
20:07 – Zi Yu and Xueji travel to the capital.
Episode 22
22:12 – At Duke Wu’s house party, General Shi and Zi Yu are set up. Xueji cryptically warns Zi Yu through his messenger not to drink the wine.
28:39 – Xueji explains to Zi Yu why she warned him. She assumes his identity is more extraordinary than normal.
Episode 23
22:10 – [solo] Xueji practises Taoist scriptures (with a cheat sheet lol) after Zi Yu becomes Emperor.
Episode 24
12:44 – Xueji gives Zi Yu tonic soup and asks about the crabapple trees he had planted in the palace.
31:44 – They visit the Grand Empress Dowager. Later, Xueji tells him not to worry about her being greedy for the position of Empress.
Episode 25
9:00 – [solo] After Prince Sui gets attacked by Miantang at the spring hunt, Xueji talks with Miantang about trust.
16:03 – [solo] Xueji is decreed Empress (!!).
22:21 – Xueji is crowned Empress. Xueji and Zi Yu awkwardly spend their first night as Emperor & Empress.
Episode 26
7:02 – Xueji wants to snacc as usual but Zi Yu calls for her while she has the hiccups…
38:29 – [solo] Xueji meets Consort Rong. Consort Sun tries to shade Xueji for being an illegitimate daughter. Xueji wants to snacc (again) afterwards but Zi Yu comes in to talk.
Episode 28
40:58 – Xingzhou sends a letter to Zi Yu requesting a title for Miantang. Xueji answers Zi Yu how to grant it.
Episode 29
38:48 – [solo] Xueji visits her home. General Shi reminds her to ask Zi Yu for a nominal title/enshrinement for him, but she refuses and gets slapped.
Episode 30
1:45 – Xueji is washing jujubes. Zi Yu approaches her and they talk about why she refused her father’s request.
- Important conversation about what he wanted to do for her, and what he means to her
Episode 31
3:32 – Zi Yu and Xueji visit the Grand Empress Dowager and talk about Xingzhou’s injury. Zi Yu almost slips up but Xueji saves the conversation in favour of Xingzhou.
- Important words again when they eat together afterwards
Episode 32
7:52 – Zi Yu sadly hears that the marriage certificate between Miantang and Cui Xingzhou has been signed.
Episode 33
22:55 – General Shi brings in Xueji’s sister to the palace, hoping that she’ll catch the emperor’s eye.
Episode 34
16:42 – Xueji practices calligraphy. She exchanges some words with her sister, then Zi Yu’s eunuch comes in with a decree to kick her sister out lol.
- Zi Yu calls her best girl (in the most ancient Chinese way heh) before her dad
Episode 35
7:41 – [solo] Xueji stands up to her dad.
Episode 37
10:25 – Xueji holds a banquet for the noble ladies and invites Miantang. Zi Yu uses that opportunity to meet up with Miantang.
19:10 – Xueji, while cutting rhododendrons, summons Zi Yu to ask him about their birthday gift to the Grand Empress Dowager (but is implying he should let Miantang go).
Episode 39
6:33 – Zi Yu tells his guard to send Xueji away for safety but Xueji requests to have a drink with Zi Yu. She confronts him about his plans, and asks him not to exclude her.
- Important convo again and the street mochi makes a reappearance
20:40 – They hold a banquet – and Zi Yu praises her before his grandma – and end up poisoned.
Episode 40 (final)
35:05 – Zi Yu and Xueji reunite and look at lanterns together.
41:28 – Their final scene: Xueji climbs a tree to recover a bird kite, but Zi Yu approaches her with a similar bird kite in his hand.
