I hope they will continue to develop 'script world' rules and mechanics. I'm a little afraid that they'll forget about this aspect of drama as it happened with some transmigration drama before.

We haven't heard any keyboard noise lately.  Only this mysterious butterfly...

To be honest, it was Wang You Shuo in the trailer that put this drama on my Plan to Watch list.  And then to see Riley Wang here to -- I LOVED them as brothers in Song of the Moon.  I'm only on episode 8, but I hope we get at least one interaction with them.

And speaking of episode 8, WYS looked fabulous there, in 16's armor.  I'm starting to feel his character may not be the nice guy I thought he would be, but that's okay too.

The last two episodes have been tormenting Chu, and me... "Every time I was on the battlefield with my life hanging by a thread, it was because I thought of you still waiting for me far away that I managed to pull through." Oh my god, Song Yimeng, how could you be so cruel!

Others might think this is wrong, but from my point of view, Chu led his soldiers into Can Jiang Yue to deliver that wedding invitation to Li Shiliu, and still shot that arrow despite knowing that shooting the prince was a capital crime. Both of these events are very charming. Before, I thought that his reason would always precede his emotions, and the most important thing in his heart would always be his principles. It turns out that it's not he won't get angry or take revenge, he is just too well-brought-up.

 Playset9656:

So many good thoughts here already, I’m glad Chu Guihong has his own space now! I think Chu’s pain hits harder because it feels real within an unreal world. Maybe that's why so many viewers connect with him—he suffers like a real person, not a protected protagonist. And that makes his quiet dignity all the more powerful.

In the preview of episode 17, she once again experienced the main plot. Even the lines she spoke were exactly the same, as if she had gradually transformed into a character in the script...

The phrase quiet dignity is just too fitting for him. If Song doesn't want him, she can give him to me. In my eyes, he is most precious.

Yep agree. And imo this moment with all this letters was kinda cleverly done. Obvious drama cliche for us viewers and for Song, but reality for CG.

I think in the subsequent episodes, the rules governing the script's operation will be discussed more. Because based on the trailer I watched before, the most important theme of this drama is about awakening and escaping from the control of fate. Therefore, I still have confidence in the collaboration between Chu and Nan Heng. However, before that, they will both have to endure a bit more torment.

Isn't he super handsome? ! I've watched the latest episode. I can assure you that although Chu's personality is more complex (and charming) than what he initially showed, he is by no means a villain. In fact, we think he might eventually team up with the male lead :-)

He looks tired. This drama looks light and  full of comedic moment that it almost unnoticeable by  viewers what hard work it is for actors. I hope WYS have a good rest before his next project.

Oh yes, they have perfect chemistry together with RW in Song of the moon. Hope there will be some reunion moment for them here)

Excellent choice 😄

I would rather be with Chu Guihong than the ML. But I am afraid to say that too soon and find out that the too good people have a dark past and they don't see exactly like we think they are. The screenwriters always make us think that the second male character is better than the first.

For now, I will cheer up Chu Guihong. But don't make me wrong, Mr.screenwriter.

@Key

The fight scenes in this drama are all very exciting, but this means the actors have to put in a lot of effort and getting injured will be a common occurrence, especially for the two actors Liu Yuning and Wang Youshuo. Although Nan Heng's combat skills are higher in the drama, I personally think that Chu's fight scenes are no less impressive than his :-)

At present, it seems unlikely that Chu has any dark past. In the future, he might do something to harm Nan Heng. But for him, there was nothing wrong with that, because Nan Heng had indeed betrayed him time and again, and taken away his foster mother, father and wife. From his perspective, he had merely finally learned not to have any feelings for this villain. And all these misunderstandings are actually the manipulation of the script...

Girls, I'd like to discuss today's plot with you. When the emperor asked Nan Heng and Chu, "Who can hand over ten thousand soldiers?" Chu ultimately chose to give up. Was it because he had already discussed this with Nan Heng before (the cooperation)? Since Nan Heng already knew whose troops the emperor wanted, he asked Chu to cooperate with him?

If giving up Song was Chu's own choice, then in the subsequent plot, there shouldn't be much romantic storyline between him and the female lead, right? Will he start to focus on going against the male lead?

Tbh at this point I'm not entirely sure where ADwaD screenwriter decided to go with our general story (for me after ep 17). Imo it's definitely start new arc for him. But how exactly he will be written in this story.. I definitely hope he start develop as his own person in the opposite direction from original script. But who knows. Atm this story more about mains romance and not so much about story world building.

Yes! His first arc centered on his long-standing romance with the FL—hope, heartbreak, and holding onto what they had before the script swallowed them. Now, we seem to be entering a second arc: betrayal, disillusionment, and maybe the start of him questioning the system he once served so loyally. That flashback to his father felt like a turning point.
