Instead focussing on the cringey side couple... Tbh i like the girl. The girl is cool, she deserves something better.

EDIT:

Since it's over i watched it so that i could skip the unrelated scenes in one go.

The actors are really good. Honestly everything about it is good, hee su's narration of the universe and it's working is the BEST part.

I loved everything about the show except the scenes involving TOO MUCH of the straight couple- cha young and Ji yu. I felt happy for hoo sik, and he su's sisters. Maybe if they did not force this couple on us I'd have liked them too. Ji yu's character is too cool. I wouldn't like a plot like this for her. NOT A MANHWA reader btw.

The least possible thing they can do is show us that they're together, if not this is not even a BL.

And yeah that's about it. If possible they could release a CLEAN version that's actually focussing on the main leads.

Honestly, if they wanted to have another pair who are not the second couple from the toon, they could've made up a girlfriend for Ji Yu. Why not? It's not like they follow the story anyway. And i bet it could've attracted the starved GL fans (I mean, look at friendly rivalry. We went nearly mad about it)

But instead of doing that, they mashed characters who were not interested in each other together, to create the most typical and boring second pair in the existence.

Although, this is realm of wild fantasies, isn't it? People who aim for broader (straight) audience would never do something as silly as making a second major couple queer too. Especially if they're women.

i didn't read the webtoon but HONESTLY it would be such a better plot if HEAR ME OUT:

heesu starts to fall for seungwon and he starts to spend more time with him, leaving chan yeong aside (rejecting his offering for eating or meating up etc.) andddd chan yeong starts to be jealous (idk if in a romantic way, can be in a best-friend type of way). and jiyu turns out to be women lover which makes him question his own sexuality. and, maybe, that's how he founds out he's bi and will find himself a hot boyfriend. or girlfriend. but, honestly, i would love to see jiyu as a women lover, she's a powerful character.

yeah, it sounds like a fic idea. maybe i'll write it for myself to recover from this 😭

btw, this is not a hate comment, i love both jiyu and chan yeong (although chan starts to get on my nerves in ep 3 where he basically turns every possible meeting with heesu to chase jiyu) but i can't exactly imagine them as a couple. they give hot gay besties vibes.

For sure, I want to be realistic, I don't hate the second couple,I just hate the fact that they are straight "" for god seek ' who says we would love to see straight couples in bl series' it would have been better if Chan yeong was leaving Jiyu to chase Heesu becoz Chan yeong is still doubting his sexuality, he doesn't want to loose Heesu his 10years friend to another man '' For sure that would be the best plot twist for this story.anyway, I won't judge much, let's watch how it goes you never know, Korean bl directors really know how to surprise boy love fans : so excited can't wait for the surprise from the directors

It's a drawn-out drama of poorly executed clichés pretending to be deep

Y'all are missing the delight in having a longer slower story. This is not about a bunch of BL tropes tied together to be run though quickly. It is GREAT to have fully developed side characters: it makes the story's world seem more real. All too often the side characters seem to be only there to keep the main characters' story going.

Maybe the style is just not your thing, and that's okay. But a lot of my peeps are enjoying it and finding it refreshing.

Well developed side characters? Why aren't we seeing the story of Ho sik then? Why aren't they showing him practicing knitting and attending the knitting club?

Also, we never saw heesu's sister's confession once in all these episodes, neither their workplace...

I mean you can say all you want but it should make sense.

Ordinarily I wouldn't engage with someone who uses such trollish language to someone who did nothing to them, but now you get to die by the sword you live by.

What overarching narrative purpose would be served by seeing Hosik in the knitting club? Oh, you don't have an example of why you think that should happen, you just say it without providing any specifics.

Why do we need to see the sister confessions? The point is that she confesses constantly to men she hardly knows. Why would we benefit from seeing one of many? (I can think of a reason, but it's not on me to support your assertions.)

Worst of all: you  say you dropped the show, so you don't actually know what's happened more recently, but you feel free to be unpleasant to someone who (a) did watch the whole show to date and (b) said nothing unpleasant to you. Maybe you should cut back on the coffee or whatever is making you feel like you were attacked and needed to lash out.

Don't bother writing back to defend your negative attacks. It's inexcusable and you don't seem like the kind of person who would take a step back and consider ways to engage more positively.

Picture a slug trying to climb Mount Everest, that's the pace of this drama. It's a bunch of conventional straight tropes

Side characters should stick to their roles as side characters, not aspire to become the star of the show. Developing them is unnecessary

Trolling is what you do when you can't handle differing opinions and tell everyone else, "y'all are missing the delight in having a longer slower story"

OP saw the signs of disaster and dropped the drama. They don't have to watch it unfold
