A brief summary of the events from episode 20 to episode 30:
After Mo Ti Zhun killed Feng Miao Jun's chef Hu Ping and tortured her guard Peng Bai by breaking his arm, Miao Jun finally stopped lying and admitted that she was the one who activated the formation. Mo Ti Zhun asked her a few more questions, including who took the Ao Fish’s Life Pearl. Feng Miao Jun said that Yun Ya was the one who took it. Upon hearing this, Mo Ti Zhun felt somewhat saddened. So, his intention from the very beginning wasn't to kill Feng Miao Jun—it was to find out whether Yun Ya had swallowed the pearl.
Finally, Mo Ti Zhun released Feng Miao Jun and her guard Peng Bai, allowing them to go outside. Suddenly, Yun Ya’s voice rang out loudly across the district—he was challenging Mo Ti Zhun to a duel. No matter how strong Mo Ti Zhun was, the moment he heard Yun Ya’s name, he began to feel fear. His martial arts and strength simply didn’t match Yun Ya’s. Yun Ya was the national teacher of the Wei kingdom. He was appointed to this position by the Wei emperor from a very young age.
After all that happened, the Feng family left Juping village and moved to the Yao kingdom at Feng Miao Jun's insistence. Her goal was to get away from Yun Ya and never encounter him again. The Feng family settled in an inn in the city of Tianshui. One night, while Miao Jun was trying to sleep in her room, she suddenly heard a noise and jumped up. Someone covered her mouth with his hand and told her to stay silent. It was Mo Ti Zhun.
Mo Ti Zhun fought a duel with Yun Ya and, severely injured, escaped to the Yao kingdom. His goal was to find a quiet place where he could fully heal using a secret Nirvana technique. To activate this technique, he needed two days—and during those two days, he would be no different than a corpse. Mo Ti Zhun asked FMJ for help and requested permission to stay in her room. In return, he promised to help Feng Miao Jun with whatever she wished, to the best of his ability.
Mo Ti Zhun stayed in Feng Miao Jun’s room for two days. Two hours before the time was up, officials from the Yao kingdom arrived, saying they were searching for a traitor who had killed a district judge. They had a photo in hand—his face hidden behind a beard. Yes, that person was Mo Ti Zhun. Feng Miao Jun, overwhelmed with panic, didn’t know what to do. Then an idea struck her: she dressed one of her guards to look like Mo Ti Zhun and sent him outside to distract the officials. Meanwhile, she ordered one of her servants to shave Mo Ti Zhun’s beard down to the skin. Finally, two hours passed and Mo Ti Zhun woke up. Upon seeing that his beard had been shaved off, the national teacher flew into a rage and left the inn.
