I like the inclusion in this drama of unconscious living people visiting the afterlife. IRL anecdotes from people who have had near death have been recorded in books and by life-after-death researchers such as Elisabeth Kübler-Ross (On Death and Dying) and Raymond Moody (Life after Life). Moody interviewed thousands of near-death survivors from various cultures, religions (including atheism) all over the world and identified over a dozen commonalities such as moving through a white light, being greeted by a loving guide, and experiencing a life review. Most people only remember 2-3 of the commonalities, with these three as the most common).

Lightning strike survivor Dannion Brinkley (Saved by the Light) records his experience of a three-part life review where he—accompanied by his loving guide—first relives every moment of his life, then again but from the perspective of others around him. And finally he reviews the tertiary effects of his actions. E.g. He relived being a bully, then felt his victims' pain, and finally experienced the sadness of the children who were neglected by his victims as a result of his own actions. And he also re-experienced the good stuff too, although it was minor in comparison at the time. He wasn't being judged by heaven, but shown to judge himself. (When he came back he self-improved and devoted himself to hospice work.)

These books inspired me to try to live my life as if I am  always being observed and will re-experience my choices and actions towards others.

Fourteen years after losing her son, bereaved mother Suzy Ward began telepathically communicating with him directly resulting in a series of books starting with Matthew, Tell Me About Heaven in which he describes life in the wondrous realm where we all go after physical life on Earth ends.

Matthew clears up common misconceptions about the world where he lives (he says its proper name is Nirvana) and he explains why, in this unprecedented time in the history of Earth, it is essential that we know the truth of our beginnings and our relationship with all of creation. Without that truth, we cannot understand either the purpose of our lives or how to prepare confidently and joyously for what is to come.
