Soo I'm slightly confused about why exactly WSG swallowed all the blue answer pills, and why YJH needed to perform surgery to take them out. Did I miss something important here? I thought they had a plan to trap YJH's dad, how was swallowing the pills part of that plan?

Then the 'suicide', I did foresee that YJH would do that cuz there was pretty heavy foreshadowing. But what was the purpose? Was it to deliberately blow up the news so that her dad will be in the limelight and can't avoid being investigated? Or was it for revenge purposes, to make her dad regret?

If she 'died' so that her dad will be investigated, it wasn't really well thought out since there was no evidence and he was still let out as a result. So what exactly was her motive??

So now that she's 'died', is she planning to just start anew with a new identity or something? If she stays in Korea, she'll no doubt be discovered pretty soon, I'm just curious as to what the next steps actually are

1. They had a plan, however briefly, but then Je-yi decided to switch to "Plan B". Plan B didn't involve Seul-gi (and was probably Je-yi's original plan before Seul-gi got involved). However, Seul-gi knew that Je-yi's plan would end up incriminating her, so because she didn't want Je-yi to ruin her life trying to take down her father, she took action on her own. So she ultimately swallowed the pills, so nobody could get the exam questions. This obviously backfired immediately. So, Je-yi, who never actually wanted to involve Seul-gi like this in the first place, had to improvise, which led to the surgery.

2. She wanted to escape the toxic environment she was in, and she thought this was the only way to do so. Obviously using the collected evidence would also damage her father, but the prime motivation was escape. She probably knew full well her dad would never remain in prison (since she knew he didn't kill Seul-gi's dad, so there'd be no evidence of that), so escaping like this was the only solution she could think of.

3. Je-yi is creative, so she'll find a way. She had a while to prepare for this, so she probably had a few plans (and money) in place to actually buy herself a new identity, and on how to lay low. And, well, nobody's going to bother looking for you if they think you're dead.

Ohhh that makes so much more sense now, though was there a reason she wanted to switch to plan b?

And while you say no one would bother looking for a dead person, I feel like that wouldn't really apply to the psycho doctor

Well, Je-yi said it was because her dad was going along with everything too easily, and then Je-yi found out he was using a different method to smuggle questions, so Je-yi thought this could put Seul-gi in danger in case her dad had another motive. Though while this may be true, I also think this was convenient for Je-yi, who now had a new reason to exclude Seul-gi (since she really just wanted to protect her by keeping her as far away from this as possible).

Yeah, he's the only one that would still be looking, so obviously Je-yi and Seul-gi will have to be mindful of him in the future.

I also think a big part of it is even though her dad got out way earlier than expected, his entire life was based on his reputation. Even if he is cleared of all wrong doing evidence wise, the fact that his daughter(s) attempted/commited suicide, and JaeYi showing how broken JeNa was because of him, tarnished his reputation to the point that even if he's free, he's still in a personal hell because the general public knows he's nothing but trash.

His entire reputation was the perfect doctor and father, and JaeYi showed his ethics as a doctor are questionable at best, and he literally drove both his children to the point of madness and suicide as a father means he is now completely worthless in his own egotistical mind
