Forgotten Drama help please?

Costume Cdrama. 

I can't remember much about it except the male lead was older, not a big height difference, quite neutral/"gentle"/effeminate-ish and elegant. There was some criticism about the actor being old/ not young idol.

The female lead "won" the male lead in an auction/ competition at a music house/brothel type place where both (!) men and women were all eager to bid for him. He had been travelling or elusive in some way but now wanted to settle down.  

I think she was only looking for him for a quest or to answer something and wasn't intending to "win" a marriage/ pet in-house artist and didn't know what he looked like or that he was so popular/famous - I vaguely recall he flew down from a balcony to announce her the winner and the crowd was jealous and displeased.. Actually he chose her and he had some prior knowledge or ulterior motives . And she took him home. 

That's all I can remember and I'm going crazy trying to recall anything else about it and Google thinks it is "Love Like the Galaxy" .

The male lead I'm thinking of wears his hair loose or mostly loose with a mini ponytail/knot and seems to be more arty/less official and more willowy ambiguous/less ex-general aura. I remember being shocked that he was openly admired by both genders. He seems to have the prestige of being a famous scholar but the air of being a top tier bisexual courtesan and I am not sure why people would want to compete to win him living in their home.

I think LofZ is a bit more recent also- from what little I remember the vibes were more from a few years ago, I was guessing Love and Destiny era 2019 although could be wrong.
