Love The Immortal Ascension, but dropped The Legend of Shen Li near the end.
Maybe it's because xianxia drama usually have big budget because of the CGI and it's not very popular amongst C-netizens so they don't make many of them?? And big IP was pricey?
I only watched 2 xianxia dramas in 2025 (+ Moonlight Mystique) but I heard Love in the Clouds was decent, its mdl rating was 8.8 and its douban rating was 7.0. My colleague watched and liked it. The chemistry was great to the point there's dating rumor. It's just that I read somewhere that the conflict was repetitive so I skipped it. Maybe you want to try it?
I put my best bet on 2 upcoming 2026 (hopefully) dramas Wan Gu Zui Qiang Zong (with Peng Yu Chang) and Pull Strings (with Ao Rui Peng). And I have my doubt about Blossom in Darkness, but the trailer looks promising.
There's also The One (with Wu Lei) and Xian Ni (has not yet casting the male lead the last time I read about it, I hope it's Yang Yang, but seems like Cheng Yi's agency buy the adaptation rights? Well, I'll watch it either way) But both may air much later. There should be other titles, but it seems like I don't know about them.
