The main character’s name Yi Jae which is used in the native title, has the exact same pronunciation as the Korean word 이제, which means “now/will now”. So the Korean title reads as both “Yi Jae (the character) is dying soon” and “(I or unspecified subject) will die soon”.
이재 itself has some ironic meanings/usage when you think about character Yi Jae’s struggles in the drama:
