2. Deer Story animals always interest kids ^^ I watched the movie myself as a young kid but I can hardly remember it and don't know if there is anything triggering in the animal or human story
3. Return to the Wolves this is a documentary shot by the woman who raised a cub she found after overhearing that poachers had poisoned its mother. Beautiful, you learn a lot about the wolf and also nature and people of rural China. You can find it subbed on YouTube. There is a follow-up filmed 10 years later but I haven't seen it myself and don't know where to find it.
4. To.Jenny short (2 episodes, movie-length), if I remember correctly totally harmless, romance with a very creative, inspiring protagonist creating the very catchy soundtrack * remembering and humming TIRASMISU CAKE🍰🫶🕺*
BONUS: I would always want to teach kids something and invite discussion - the following movie might be triggering as it also depicts violent repression (torture, death) of christians (including ML's daughter - and the protagonist, who had been neglecting his daughter for years, is not on her side...) but the importance of maps (for the weak and mighty) and the enormous efforts in creating it were depicted beautifully and memorable: The Map Against The World
