10. Move to Heaven - Heartwarming story only on the first episode but the rest are not as engaging.

10 Guilty pleasure dramas that you  enjoy fully despite their flaws (can be problematic character/plot holes/production quality/etc) EDIT: and why

1. Love and Redemption (probably because it's ChengYi. And it has the best xanxia finale I've seen so far, so much angst, made me love the characters so much. The torture of ML goes on and on and yet he still loves the FL, to the point that its pretty much an obsession. But the ending was so satisfying and happy.)

2. Love Unexpected -  I can’t really explain as to why I enjoyed it as much as I did, and I can honestly understand people that say they don't like it,  but for me it really worked! Is it cliché? -Yes. Is is cheesy?? YES!! But maybe that’s why it draws you in!
Yes, it’s not the most ground-breaking drama or unique, and sometimes the plot doesn't make sense, but somehow the characters make you come back for more.

3. My Sassy princess - don't know. Just when talk about guilty pleasure 1 think i can think about is this drama. Haha...

4. Lovestruck in the City  - A lot of people don't like it because they might think the FL character may be too flawed, but her problem is relatable to real-life situations. and most importantly I enjoyed this drama very much! You may want to check it out :)

This drama is refreshing and lovely. I love the artistic shots of the show. It has a unique fun documentary storytelling style. The flashbacks scenes are absolutely stunning and the chemistry is so good.  No toxic relationships but there are many sweet moments and fun interactions and the OSTs are simply delightful.

5. Circle of Love (the story is terrible, FL got amnesia and got back her memories 3 X !, but still I watch it till finished, despite the 10 mins per episode, because ML is soooooo handsome and hot too, that I watch him again in other dramas)

Haha, I am in agreement with #5 above as guilty pleasure (I don’t think the other ones are considered “problematic“ to me, but to each their own!)

6. Love Better Than Immortality features one of my top actresses Zhao Lu Si and this is the first time I’ve seen the ML, Li Hong Yi, but I thought their chemistry was fire! Plenty of skinship and kisses :) but definitely some flaws doesn‘t exactly explain the impacts of the VR game (the premise is that she is from the year 2196 and the technology to make humans immortalized exists but then they cannot have relationship. If she sacrifices this immortality, then she can be immersed in a game to find love - sounds lame). So it is pseudo-time travel from that perspective. I also don’t like how long it took her to realize that the guy she was looking for was ML, but she kept mistaking SML for him.

7. Timeless Love similar to above, the main CP’s chemistry drew me in (I had watched ML before in a couple of other shows but never the FL) no lack of kisses here! But the biggest flaws were how they portrayed the ML, who was clearly suffering mental issues due to his upbringing and family situation, and how it translated to his romance. Many people would say that this caused him to be toxic but it is not all his fault. The FL wasn’t a saint either and she did not recognize this until a couple episodes before the end.

I do agree that they made him look toxic, but I feel like he WAS sort of toxic. It's been a while since I've watched that drama but if I remember correctly... He threatened to **** himself if the FL broke up with him.

@F4luv89 LBTI - another one of my favorite. SML would sacrifice love for the world, ML would sacrifice the world for love, And yes, so many kisses🫣

Almost every ZhouLusi show is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Agreed, sorry if I wasn’t clear. Yes, he was toxic (I remember that scene too) but it was caused by his illness. What I mean is that I think there were warning flags leading up to that, and I didn’t think she handled it as well, especially since she is supposed to be older. So, I expected some more effort from her end, instead of just breaking up with him.

I am in your boat ❤️ Hidden Love was amazing this summer, and my last summer was dominated by LLTG

8. The Way You Shine - this is my current guilty pleasure. It seems to be a well rounded show. A good story, a strong female lead, a kind male lead, good chemistry between leads. It's not done airing so I've slowed down and am trying not to catch up. It doesn't seem to be too popular right now which is a shame as it is quite addictive. The only flaw is that it has way too many negative female characters and the male lead is slightly immature (yet so sweet).

I'd love to watch more well-balanced romances.

9. TharnType - dunno why. These boys need some serious help and I am not entirely sure I like how they interact at times, but I still keep coming back to all four of them.

10. Chains of Heart - plot holes galore, easiest villain reveals, insane plot twists, and who can forget all the choking and strangulation and yet I couldn't help but enjoy it. Despite it's flaws, there's something that made me binge it in 2 days

10 dramas/movies with a reunion scene you loved. So when the two leads were separated, and when it shows them meet again, you found it touching or just played out well. Any situation is fine as long as you consider it some sort of reunion.

Videos or descriptions of the reunion are welcome. And please add spoilers if you feel it necessary.
