Is this a small scene in #6, like a flashback or something, or does it develop further? If it isn't a serious discussion of slavery then it doesn't count. I appreciate that it happened and is serious but I'm looking for depth, a discussion on the morality (lack of really) and toll it takes on all persons involved. Kinda like Pinocchio is to honesty and saying what needs to be said in reporting, or the numerous tales in I Hear Your Voice.

I think it’s a pretty important scene but you’re right that it is not a “heavy subject” scene. It does lead to their childhood betrothal (almost in a “aww, how cute” way) but it’s not as though either of them suffers PTSD from that specific instance - unfortunately it is other things that do lead to mental health illness, specifically for the ML.
