Quantcast

5.  My Roommate Is A Gumiho - was popular, but I was bored and dropped it after four episodes. Also saw no chemistry between the leads.

6. girl from nowhere - now i did not hate it but i also did not enjoy it, kinda forced myself to finish it

7. My ID is Gangnam Beauty

I had watched this show for being cha eun woo fan. From episode 1, i gt fair amt of idea, What this show gonna be about.
They say, drama is addressing the social issue. I personally felt, while doing that,  simultaneously u (director or story or whatever) r also showing and giving importance to the looks, even though ML does not mind, liking a not so good looking girl ( I am avoiding the word 'ugly here, which they have used n number of times in the drama).

Second, agreed, that FL went through this torturous plastic surgery to look good, but did it prevent her showing her expressions on her face?? It may happen in real ( in case surgery goes wrong or some nerve damage or pulling/stretching of skin too much), but they did not mention something like this in the drama.
So here, i am without offending FL fan here, saying I just did not able to see a single expression on her face.

Third- not only in this drama but any drama,  whenever they show bullying in school or colleges, it simply fails for me to understand where the school authorities go??? You are such a developed country ( I am talking about korea here), can't you tackle this issue??

Why a poor girl, who doesn't have any control over her looks, should be bullied in such an insulting way??

In short, storyline, FL's acting did not grab me enough, to complete watching this show, even though it was a popular one.

8.  Descendants of the Sun – I tried TWICE but I just cant get past episode 1! The FL is weird to me and the story does not convince me at all that I should continue watching

9. Love & Redemption - don't know why but still can't finished it yet....

10. A Business Proposal - I actually started watching it after all the recommendations and rave reviews, but I couldn't get past the first episode.

The next person can choose the topic

… I skipped the vast majority of the first episode of business proposal. Not a good start. I only kept going bc of a clip i saw on social media for a later episode. Although its been on hold since it aired with only a few episodes left i think.

10 titles you like but always forget/struggle with the title of

1. Yan Suo Chong Lou - old drama. Used to like it a lot. But since i watch it on my national TV, they change the title into our native language. That's why i never remember the real title

2. Payback: Money and Power - somehow I keep forgetting the details but I know I enjoyed it.

3. A Familiar Stranger - since it's a short length cdrama I don't get many opportunities to mention it. It was quite enjoyable.

4. Joseon Attorney: A Morality - Doesn't look complicated written but this one puts an A in the middle of the title, and i always struggle to say it, is it a morality-Joseon-attorney-morality-something something? wkwkwk
5. Arthdal Chronicles Part 2: The Sky Turning Inside Out, Rising Land  - Unnecessarily too long to remember hahahhaa,
6. See You in My 19th Life - i kept saying Because this is my 19th life because i've watched Because This is My First Life! XD

Great topic!

7. Legend of the Blue Sea - I'm always forgetting the title so I want to look up the ML but forget his name so I look up another of his and work my way backwards.

8. Koi wa Tsuzuku yo Doko Made mo - actually it is all the Japanese titles in phonetic english. They all get so mixed up in my head.

9. "Hajimete Koi wo Shita Hi ni Yomu Hanashi"

Even though it’s a Japanese title, I just cudnt remember, believe me , I tried

Haha, what a relevant topic for me (I watch cdrama raw, so remembering the English title is sometimes hard if it is completely unable to be reconciled):

10. Le Coup De Foudre which is this most commonly known title is actually not in English but in French…maybe they were trying to be fancy? But Chinese literal translation is just: “I Only Like You” and I am pretty certain the French translation of that is not what this is (I even had to copy paste the name here too, haha!)

10 titles where one of the characters “break the fourth wall” and talk directly to the audience

I am looking for the character themselves to speak, not necessarily another narrator to describe details

I will start off with :

1. Fake It Till You Make It a number of times, FL talks to the camera about how she really wishes she could do something (like stand up to her boss) and plays out that scenario, but it is “in her head” (the actual scene usually doesn’t go that way)

2. Delightfully deceitful - FL constantly breaks the 4th wall to tell the viewers her elaborated plans
