The yuehong story starts in chapter 30 or 35 in the manhua.  In the donghua, it starts in episode 28. 

The drama will only film their past lives so dont get buffled by their modern life characterisation

The manhua/animation has 1 main storyline which is the CP in this drama (FSM: Red Moon Pact) along with a lot of couples that they "matchmake" and the timeline intertwine between past and present throughout the series. The series itself is kind of a collection of side stories (10 arcs) that converges into 1 full story. It also has several important CPs which iQiyi separated into 3 dramas.

FSM: Sword and Beloved is the story of Red Moon Pact ML's maternal cousin and his lover. 

FSM: Love in the Pavilion is the story of Red Moon Pact ML's Aunt and her lover (Sword and Beloved ML's mother and father's story).

I wouldn't say there's a particular order you have to watch the 3. It's up to preference.

If you prefer chronological order then LITP, SAB, RMP. (SAB and RMP are in the same timeline but theoretically RMP should extend further down the timeline and you can get the final conclusion in RMP. BUT this is just my theory. I'm not sure about how they would actually structure all the stories to flow together).

If you prefer context then watch RMP first.

arc 1 has bai yuechu, so unless they put the modern world in as season 4,  only arc 3 ,  then arc 6, then arc 2. 

They’re completed. Just wanted to hear anyone’s thoughts , what do you guys think between the donghua and live action, which one do you like more? 

Kinda disappointed how many people dissing the live action without watching the donghua..  

After reading some of the comments, a majority of they disliked how the characters were “cruel “ “evil” “showed no emotion”.. I mean what did they expect in an ancient Chinese fantasy drama?

 In my opinion , if they wanted the emotional connection they’d should watch the 1st season of the donghua because there’s romance and it’s set in the modern world. They don’t go straight into the past until season 3 (which is currently Red moon pact).
