Quantcast

Hi everyone. Mods, please move this if it's the wrong place.

I'll be upfront: I built the thing I'm about to show you. I'm a developer from Brazil, and over the past months I've been building a film and drama database with a quiz on top of it. The drama side has 11,033 titles so far — 3,863 Korean, 1,246 Chinese, 234 Taiwanese, and 5,690 Japanese (anime included), plus a handful from Thailand and elsewhere.

The questions aren't written by hand. They're generated from the actual data: cast, year, network, episode count. Which means some of them are probably wrong, boring, or way too easy — and people here know these shows better than any database ever will.

So here are five. No clicking needed, they're right here:

1. Which network aired Extraordinary Attorney Woo?
a) tvN b) JTBC c) ENA d) SBS

2. How many episodes does Vincenzo have?
a) 20 b) 16 c) 24 d) 12

3. Which of these actors is NOT in Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (Goblin)?
a) Gong Yoo b) Kim Go-eun c) Lee Dong-wook d) Lee Min-ho

4. Which of these dramas aired first?
a) It's Okay to Not Be Okay b) Kingdom c) Sweet Home d) Vincenzo

5. Meteor Garden (the version with Shen Yue and Dylan Wang) — which country produced it?
a) Taiwan b) China c) South Korea d) Japan

Answers at the bottom, no peeking.

What I'd really like to know: are these too easy? Too obvious? Is there a kind of question you'd actually enjoy that I'm not thinking of? Network and episode count are easy for me to generate, but I have a feeling that's not what makes a good drama question.

If you want to poke at more of them, the whole thing is at cinequiz . com.br / en / dramas — it's in English, Portuguese and Spanish. But honestly the five above are what I most want feedback on.

Thanks for reading.
