Dramas Rated 10

Before I list all my 10s, I have to say that most of this dramas might not really be a 10 (looking at it unbiased) but it gets one from me for either trying successfully to send a good message, or because the story is simple what I love to watch and well, taking acting, directing, and writing into account I must give it a 10. 1. A Tree With Deep Roots -The acting on this drama was superb, but not as much as the script. Its a complicated plot, that falling in the hands of a bad writer would have made the drama impossible to follow. 2. Bad Family -This is a family/comedy drama. Really, really, really funny. Well acted. Good script. And made me talk to the screen throughout the whole drama which means I was well into it. 10. 3. Beautiful Days -Given that it is fairly old, what would be cliches now, it might not have been back then. Either way, I love the music, the acting, and the story was pretty interesting. I thought it was well written, so 10 it got. 4. Can You Hear My Heart - Minus the open-eye kiss (which is really annoying) this drama was AWESOME. Again, well acted, well written, and you just have to fall in love with 'Oppa'. 5. Coffee Prince -Most likely has been on every other list in this thread, so Ill skip it as I have lots of dramas to still list. 6. Friend Our Legend -If you have seen the film, then you will agree that this drama deserves a 10. Then again, if the story and director behind it werent enough. Its got great actors. 10. 10. 10. 7. Good Luck!! -Best Japanese rom-com ever!! No really, its awesome. Same stuff: good acting, and well written script. 8. Gourmet -This drama is overrated and well, its obviously a matter of opinions. But this thread has 'opinion' written all over it, so... it got a 10 from me for the same reasons: good story, well written, good acting. 9. Hero -Just any other police/crime drama, but with lawyers. It would have been a 9 if it weren't for Kimura Takuya's performance. That man is incredible. 10. Ice World -Okay so this is one of those dramas I mentioned that might not really be a 10 if I look at it ubiasdly. I gave a 10 for the way it makes me feel every time I watch. Yep, even when is a murder-mystery, I have re-watched about 3 times. The acting is good, and the story is the kind of stories I love, plus the opening song just brakes my heart. <3 11. Juunen Saki mo Kimi ni Koishite -OMG. This drama is one of the cutest love story I have watched, and I thought that for such a short story it was well executed in all terms. I loved it. Absolutely recommended to anyone who likes mystery and romance. 12. The LIAR GAME series -Watch it. Then you'll know why I gave it a 10. Okay, so I should say at least that the story is ingenious, the writer of this story is someone I wish to meet, so I can tell him how crazy-awesome he is. 13. Money's Warfare -Another underrated drama because the actor is not a pretty face young idol boy. It is based on a graphic novel, and everything about it is excellent. 14. Nagareboshi -I loved the message in this drama and how it was written. Script, acting, directing. All great 10s. 15. Nakyoku Tairiku - Third Kimura drama I rate 10. Pattern? Kimura is a really good actor, he is one of the best Asian actors in TV for me. I think he does not only picks good interesting plots, but he puts passion into his characters and you can see it when watching him act. Aside from this, this story is amazing. True story to boot. I cried every episode. 10. 16. Once Upon a Time in Saengchori -Whenever someone asks me what to watch that is light and at the same time provides genuine script with not so many cliches and all, I recommend this drama. HIGHLY underrated, and once you watch it, you have to ask yourself why they heck? I mean is completely original 17. Padam, Padam -Great directing, and the story had a very unique twist to it. 18. Que Sera, Sera -One of those dramas that are not liked by everyone because its a bit dark, and blunt. Just like life. 19. Royal Family -Have to give it a 10 for such a great ending. Aside that the story was absolutely my cup of tea: dark, mysterious, crime, with just a bit a romance to make you giggle in between tension. 20. Ending Planner. -Same as Nagareboshi. Loved the message. 21. Soredemo, Ikite Yuku -Another dark twisted drama, with one beautiful message: HOPE. The acting was amazing, I had to literally watch something else right after each episode because I was too involved with the characters. 22. Thank You -I think this drama aside from the patterns that Kdrama follows -arrogant jerk who turns into Mr awesome after meeting sweet determined young country girl- is original in its own way. It has a twist to it, with the little girl being the protagonist of these people lives and how they come together and learn to love. Same stuff: good script, acting, and directing. 23. The Devil - Another dark thriller, which is what I love most. I just really liked it, there is nothing I can say that would sound genuine but really biased. I love this drama. 24. Time Between Dog & Wolf -My number one drama of all times. And just like The Devil, if I say why it will only sound like Im advertising. (Isn't that what we are doing LOL) 25. Who Are You? -I think it was a better told story of the 49 day legend. It aired way before 49 Days, so its got nothing to do with it. It has excellent acting from both male leads. 26. With Love -Haha, the last 10 (so far) and yet another biased 10. I just cant help but be lost in the soundtrack, and the love story. Beautiful.

my rated 10 dramas are 1. Smile You 2. Delightful girl 3. City Hunter 4. Sungkyunkwan scandal 5. King2Hearts 6. Secret Garden and probably City Hall..im currently watching it, so far so good :) Honestly speaking i rate dramas not by being objective but mainly on how they entertain me. If it got me hooked then definitely a 10, other factors don't matter to me :)

I start my addiction last year February 1, I got my 300 completed list exactly a year after:-)
and my target for this year is at least additional 200 completed dramas/movies....

I give 10's to dramas that really grasp my attention and excitement when I watch it, and leave a fond, positive memory long after watching it.

Secret Garden- My first drama. It holds a spot in my drama heart. Moreover, this fantasy romantic comedy was really gripping and enjoyable to watch despite its flaws. The story line is slightly difference from the traditional drama plot: the boy persistently chases the girl right from the beginning and the girl doesn't waver for quite a long time. The actors and actresses really embodied their characters extremely well. The OST was stuck in my mind a full month after completing the drama. Secret Garden is the only drama I've ever completely re-watched. Overall, Secret Garden was just so addictive and enjoyable, it truly deserved a 10 in my eyes.

Liar Game- this drama was my first non- rom com drama. The reviews were good, so I deicided to give it a go. It was sooo much better than I expected. The games played were complex, the tension high, and there were also some warm and funny moments. The music really set up the mood well. Liar Game is certainly distinct in the drama world.

Liar Game Season 2- Kanzaki Nao receives a notice from the LGT! From there, the viewers are brought back to the tense Liar Game ambiance with even more riveting games and plot twists. I say that the second season was even better than the first!

1 Litre of Tears- it's just so sad. I cried so much for Aya, I'm sure I dried up my tear glands after crying for the first 4 episodes. It was that intensely depressing. The actors and actresses acting was just superb; each tear, each word, each emotion, I believed that they were genuine. The music just doubled the sadness for me; whenever I heard Kona Yuki, my eyes would automatically filled up with tears. And to think this was based on an actual person. I need to buy that book this drama was based on.

Bloody Monday- I just finished this one. It had a great story, plot, characters, and the cast was good. If you like Liar Game, then you'll like this drama.

After analyzing this question and my list, I discover that there were ones with too much…Others with too little… And some that I say “what the heck I was thinking??”

I rate “my” dramas or movies according to what they make me feel the first time I watch them. Did they make me cry? Or did I laugh? Did they make me analyze my life? Or analyze lives of those around me?

Dramas:

*Oh! My Lady: I don’t know why I love this drama so much! I mean, I re-watched this like 6 times already and never get tired of it! Maybe is the chemistry between the leads. Maybe is the story… a man who doesn’t know how to do anything…but then, he have to learn to be a father, a husband, an actor, a man… Maybe is because Siwon’s character and his exceptional characterization won me over a million times… Maybe is because Siwon’s character was the beginning, the middle, and the end of the whole drama. Maybe is the struggle of a man trying to be someone better for himself and those who he loves…? I find myself in his shoes… Maybe is because the drama, specially his struggles looks a lot like my life. Maybe is because I can’t take the songs (ost) of my head. --> [/URL] <-- and then is this…[/URL] <-- how can I argue with that???

[U]*A Gentlemen’s Dignity: I cry, I laughed and I ask myself, where are those kinds of friends in my life? Those who are with me, no matter what?

*Go! Mrs. Go!: After having live the half of your life…and lost it in a second…What do you do with the other half? I heard “What you do with your life is really just half of the equation. The other half—the more important half—is who you’re with when you’re doing it.” And that is exactly what Mrs. Go is doing, discovering the other half of her life and the people who is with her in that discovery.

[U]*I love Tae Ri: A miracle. A love that blooms, just because they were meant to be together… I really love this story…the only thing that “egghhh” me was the fact that he is 14…but then…innocent, sweet love is love anyway… This drama make me laugh so hard it hurts!!!

*Coffee Prince: Only a few male leads can make me feel his pain or joy like Goon Yoo, and in this drama, he make me feel every pain, every tear, every smile. I cried with him, I laughed with him… I love this drama and I re-watched a few times.

*Couple or Trouble: This was a weird choice! She never change her attitude, she just keep living as if she was eating limes all day. But she started to care for another people. And their daily interactions, sparks some of the weirdest bickering; sweet but crazy! These drama make me laugh a lot…Specially the lady with the flower in her head!


*Down with Love: He was an ice prince. She was a grown up child. What happened next? They fall in love… She makes that rock heart, beat again…

*Hotaru no Hikari: Who says that I have to be, what other people expect of me? Why I have to be what others want me to be? I am me! If you don’t like it…back off!!That is what this drama says!!

*It Started with a Kiss: After watching Playfull Kiss, I learn that it was based on a manga, and this drama, was based almost exactly on that manga. I fell in love with the story. And after watching Playfull Kiss, Itazura na Kiss (anime version) and this, I finally understand why she fall in love with him…and why he fall for her… For him, everything was so easy…For her, everything was a struggle. He was trying to live, she was full of life. She had what he didn’t have…A heart, and the emotions that come with it…

*They Kiss Again: The conclusion of a saga!! What happened to our lovely couple after…Only time will tell!! On “It Started with a Kiss” it was explaining Xiang Qin love.This one, I think focus more on Zhi Shu point of view! And now we found him, entering the realm of the “I have a heart…what the heck is this pain I’m feeling?”. And that sort of things…

*My Girlfriend is a Gumiho: Every time Mi Ho cried…I cried. Every time Mi Ho laughed I laughed with her…and when she disappear…. I felt like I die… Yeah, it hit me sooooo hard!!!

*My Name is Kim Sam Soon: The drama that opened drama land for me, 4 years ago… I see myself in Sam Soon. Strong yet delicate. Hardcore, but at the same time full of convictions and values. She is a role model, no matter what people say…She rocks and rolls!! Hyun Bin, sexy as he can be in the neon rainbow shirts!!

*Queen In Hyun’s Man: Where I can find a man who is willing to risk everything and anything just to be with me? Nuff said!!

*Rooftop Prince: The unsolved mystery, the love story, the “I land in your house, do something about it”…And the entourage, they were so cute; I just wanna hug them… a lot!! Mhahahha

*Secret Garden: Odd pair. Words apart. A miracle. A sacrifice. A change of heart.

*Scent of a Woman: Start to live when you have being dead all along…A pair of lost souls, that by a cosmic clash found themselves…and start living since that moment…

*Snow White/Taste Sweet Love: This one is an oldie…but I love every part of it! The oblivious guy who never knew that the “girl” was in love with him, till was too late. The “girl” who always loved in the shadows…and the handsome, reckless guy who change her life, her heart and her soul… I LOVE IT!!!

*Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge: When you don’t love and accept yourself, no one will…but when you start to see yourself with the eyes of others, your perception changes. That is what happened to Sunako. Only when she started to see herself with the eyes of Kyohei, she understands that beauty is in the eye of the beholder…beauty is everywhere, you just have to open the eyes of the heart to really see it!!

*You're Beautiful: I fall in love with this drama!!Jang Geun Suk is another male lead, that can really make me feel what he is feeling. I cried , I laughed, but most of all, I wanted to hug him!! A girl posing as a boy. Who change the life of everyone around her...including the ice prince, who was Tae Kyung!!! And the OST!! Those songs are tattoed in my soul!! And the " don't stay where I can't see you, let me see you"!!! *sighs* I love, love this one!! Ohh and the "because today is the day you were born, the world is a better place." It kill me!! *fan girl scream* *nose blead* *faints*

*Zettai Kareshi & Special: I laughed, I fall in love…I cry and a lot! If a robot can make me feel so much, then Nighto is the most humans of all…

Movies:

*Baby & Me: When he almost lose the baby I wante to die!!!

*Gangster Lover: What got me was the title. But then the story was, very rare. He is a gangster. She isn’t afraid of him. They end up needing each other…

*Hello Ghost: Being lost, being found and the people who guide you and accompany you on that road we call life…

*Kiss Me, Kill Me: Like they say in my country “joined together the hunger and desire to eat” ! LOL I mean, this is one of the most bizarre movies I have ever seen. She is depressed and want to die, so decide to die with a bang, so hire a killer. He is a depressed killer who doesn’t know what to do with himself…Like a cosmic catastrophe they join forces and collide in a very weird way!!

*My Love: I found this by a song…the movie ost, have a song that was used as a ringtone in a drama… I trace the ost, found the movie and watched… It touched my soul! How can we promise somethings, how we are so close to love, but at the same time so blind to see it. How can we be so focused on pain, living in the past, that we don’t see what we have right on front of us…It was very emotional, to me, I feel it in the center of my soul!! And…Jung Il Woo is part of the cast…what else I can ask??

Well those are my “rate 10”!! I rate, according to what they make me feel and these make me feel an a lot!!They are not perfect…they are not hits…but they win me… and definitely have me at hello!!!

Egh, I wholeheartedly agree. You're Beautiful isn't as terrible as BoF, but definitely not worth a 10.
