So it's somewhat hard for me to find a certain way of rating them, but after reading through everyone's posts I think I'll rate dramas solely on their quality from now on, taking into consideration the drama's WAD (Writing, Acting, Directing) and post the ones I enjoyed the most on my profile favorites. So if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go re-rate my whole drama list now (:

I actually rate mine by how much I enjoy them too and have had to defend my ratings to others who rate their lists as if each movie or drama were a school project and must meet certain standards in each individual criterion before 'deserving' the rating. I will keep my list my way, because then I know which movie/dramas I want to buy or watch again. If I were to recommend anything, then I'd be more objective in the ratings section and use the free writing space to express my true feelings.
Currently out of 167 dramas i've watched, i put some from 10 points out of 10 which great to watch as preference (coz too much, i don't put all of 10-rated dramas in this post).
The reasons i mark the dramas 10 points: great story line, great acting of the actors & actresses, unique points, unthinkable by human, great songs, some LOL scenes, overall marvelous!

Chinese Drama:
Princess Pearl, Rent a Girlfriend Home for New Year.

Taiwanese Drama:
100% Senorita, Fated to Love You, Hua Yang Shao Nian Shao Nu, In Love with A Rich Girl, Meteor Garden, Meteor Garden 2, Prince Turn to Frog, The Rose.

Japanese Drama (Dorama):
Atashinchi no Danshi, Celeb to Binbo Taro, I've Been Married to Hell, Kimi wa Petto, Oh! My Girl!, Papa to Musume Nanokakan.

Korean Drama:
18 vs 29, Boys Before Flower, Coffee Prince, Delightful Girl Choon Hyang, Full House, Golden Era of Daughter in Law, Goong, Kid Gang, My Girl, My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, My Love Patzzi, My Name is Kim Sam Soon, Personal Taste, Secret Garden, She is Nineteen, Smile You, Soulmate, Stars Falling from the Sky, Sweet 18, The Greatest Love, The Man Who Can't Get Married, Three Dads One Mom, Why Did You Come to My House?, Wonderful Life, You're Beautiful.
I like that everyone seems to have thier own way of rating things. For me, even though there are dramas that I really want to give a 10 to because of how much I loved them, there is always either a weak ending or not suprising enough moments that will bother me enough to not rate it a 10. Ive got plenty of 9's though! LOL.
I very easily give dramas I like 10's...
Some of the many would be:
-My Girl (Korean)
-Bara no Nai Hanaya
-Shiroi Haru
-Godhand Teru
...and just to irk LibradaJ and Amrita ....
-You're Beautiful :D
hmmmm i think i need to re-rate my dramalist too..well, to be honest, for me it all depends on how i feel twards the end of each drama..if i don't want it to end then it sure is a 9'er or a 10'er fo me...
I only have three dramas with 10's. I thought I had more...lol

1. Coffee Prince
2. Nodame Cantabile
3. Secret Garden
I'm too lazy to re-rate my dramas XD Esp the ones that i don't remember almost anything...
I just rate my dramas according to how many times I strayed from it, if I pause one episode too many times or it takes me longer than a week to finish a 16 episode drama that has already finished airing, it doesn't get a 10. If it keeps me interested to the point that I HAVE to finish it as soon as possible, I give it a 10. Unless I didn't like the ending.

And I had forgot one, so it's 4 10's:

4. King of Baking

You're forgiven because you gave 10 to Bara No Nai Hanaya! ;);)

Fact is, we all work with taste, no matter how hard one tries to be objective. Possibly, acting and script are the only aspects which can be evaluated with at least a little objectivity, but all the rest is personal. And even acting and script depend a lot on our personal experiences, what we have read/watched, how much we can empathize with the characters and so on.
And I'd lie if I denied of having watched movies or dramas just for the sake of the good-looking actor in it. :P
my rated 10:

1. tokyo dogs
2. hana kimi
3. stand up!
4. bloody monday
5. bloody monday 2
6. guilty.

Bara no Nai Hanaya was an amazing drama.
And yep, all ratings are a matter of objectivity and your experience while watching it. If you were watching the best drama and your mom suddenly died while you're watching it, no matter how great of a drama it was, you'd still give it a low rating since it fills you with the unpleasant reminder. /random ramble done.
I really don't like giving out 10s... But when I do it usually means it is a drama I recommend to everyone that enjoys that genre of show.

-Beethoven Virus
-Boys Before Flowers
-Hana Yori Dango
-Last Friends
-Love Shuffle
-Maou
-Nobuta wo Produce
-Ryusei no Kizuna
-Smile
-Zettai Kareshi

10/185 5.4%
I am a bit surprised on thaat many having 10's in my list...BOF/HYD I think I wanted to give a 9 originally but due to personal affection for it it ended up being a 10.

I don't find many Korean Shows that make it to 10 for me but I have plenty of them at 8-9... I think it is because I have a grading list for my self..a point system..

2 pts - Story
2 pts - Acting
1 pts - Directing
2 pts - Re-watch Value
1 pt - Morals
1 pt - Musical score (Not soundtrack!)
1 pt - Personal Feelings Towards it.
