When/How/Because of Who did you discover Asian Dramas?

He just doesn't look his age (hoping its our genes, which I'll be extremely thankful for when I get older). We get mistaken for brother and sister all the time :)

I have been into asian film for a while, I saw a couple movies with Takeshi Kaneshiro and thought I'd like to see more of his stuff. so I looked him up on IMDB and saw he was in a drama, watched it, loved it, liked the lead actress, looked her up and watched other dramas with her. liked one of the lead actors in one of those dramas, looked him up ... etc etc so my whole drama obsession started with me thinking "hmm this Takeshi guy is pretty hot" LMAO

I watched some korean dramas when i was little but i wasn't addicted. It all started in 2010 when my life was messed up and i would try to find anything that distract me from my mental state. I ran into "Itazura Na kiss" but i didn't like it then i watched Hana Kimi and YAB but i wanted more. I had some Spanish friends that recommended me some other dramas and so the journey began.

Come on, we all have this special actor/actress who got us into dramas ! Like, you watched that drama because it's based on a manga you like, and suddenly you start watching everything he's done before ? That's how MatsuJun got me into DramaLand. With Hana Yori Dango and Kimi wa Petto ... So, who was it ? (the answer can look like this : "my roommate, then I secretly watched all the dramas with Lee Min Ho before admitting my addiction..." ) ^^

no one really. i was really bored one day and was just looking through random youtube videos until i stumbled across a mighty princess. from then on koreantv is all i watch!

It was me! I was the one introducing myself to manga, then to anime, and finally to drama! XD But I'm working to introduce other people to asian drama, so maybe one they they can tell I was the one! XD

Well, my girlfriend at the time introduced me to Korean movies and while trying to find a new one I ended up coming across "A Gentleman's Dignity", I noticed Kim Ha Neul on the cover and decided to gave it a try since I had previously watched several of her movies. In short, Kim Ha Neul.

I was looking for other asian movies after watching Shinobi: Heart Under Blade (all of that because I had seen a Odagiri Joe interview on TV) and then I decided to watch Hana Yori Dango and then I got to korean dramas too and here we are :) Basically it was myself, with a little help of Odagiri Joe and Hana Yori Dango.

City Hunter and Iljimae I've always loved City Hunter and watched quite a few Chinese version plus the anime of it so when the Korean version came out I was like ooooh! Gotta watch it, I saw the previews and obviously Lee Min Ho caught my eyes and made me want to watch it even more!!! After falling for City Hunter (except the ending) and Lee Min Ho I started to explore and found Iljimae which got me officially hooked!

The same happened for me. I loved to watch anime some time ago but then I thought I should watch something new and by "accident" I watched Hana Yori Dango. I loved this show and MatsuJun, so I also watched Kimi wa Petto and Gokusen. Then I found other amazing actors and watched their dramas. And that's pretty much it. :D
