Love in the Air: Koi no Yokan EP 1
Apparently it's a Saturday series (?) not Sunday as MDL has it listed as.
I'm not going to be as objective as I thought I could about this remake. Plus it IS a Japanese production, my least favorite of all Asian countries producing dramas.
The Thai version builds a more dramatic story while giving the viewer details that add so much. EP 1 of the J-version feels much less dramatic and dynamic.
I like Arashi's character. But...I'm not so crazy about Rei's character. It's the same silly-ish style, but not as over-acted, that I see in other J-dramas. I can't put my finger on it rn, but he's just not cute in the way that Rain is cute. Plus Rain has a potty mouth that I love. He's got attitude along with the cuteness. I feel a lot more chemistry btw Payu & Rain then I do with this couple.
It's very early days still, but tbh, I'm not quite as thrilled as I wished I was. But I'll stay tuned for more!!
I know what you mean I also found Rain to be a lot more bratty than Rei which I think he is more of the atypical airhead Japanese character.
I do say that this made me really want to rewatch the original because LITA is so good and iconic.
