I have to say I'm thankful to my child who tested his various names on his friends before telling us the name he was legally changing his name to. Still a bit surprised when it happened, since we're just the clueless parents who didn't know we had a nonbinary kid. P.S. He doesn't care about his pronouns so we've continued using he. As long as we don't use his dead name, we're all good.

Italy was my first overseas country (if I remember clearly), but it was combined with other countries. I traveled with my brother. He planned most of it and since he's a foodie I never worried about where to eat. It's a wonderful place.

I have two family members that changed genders and it was a challenge to make the switch to their preferred pronoun and new names. Not cuz I didn't want to, of course. Just habit from birth!!
Luckily both were patient and understanding.
