Well my week is full of exams going over into next week. Today I wrote 4 essays in 3 hours. My fingers feel like they are going to fall off at any moment now. Tomorrow I have three more essays to write in far less time than 3 hours, so here I am preparing for that, when I saw this teaser from Sashes and Hearts, and suddenly I feel energised. LOL

I forgot to mention whenever I see really mean comments by members I will block them without hesitation. By "mean" I mean they verbally attack another member. Pretty sure I won't see that member's comments posted in the main areas of MDL anymore. Maybe I'll eventually get rid of most of them, haha.

Where Your Eyes Linger is getting the most attn rn....I'll see who else might answer. I've almost talked myself into watching all 4 again, and I've said this before, but it's rare for me to rewatch anything.

oh wow… I’ve only watched Cherry Blossoms After Winter and Where Your Eyes Linger. For CBAW I just tought it was cute… WYEL on the other hand, I really really really liked.
I think I need to add LOM & YMMD to my watchlist 😬

What do you like about it?
All four are really really good, but "Light On Me" is viscerally my definite favourite. It also has the highest average MDL rating (8.1 - compared to "Linger" 7.9, "Cherry Blossoms" 7.8, "Dance" 7.7).
But since you want rational reasons, let me try:
(1) It's all-around well constructed, well paced and well produced. 16 episodes is unusually long for a KBL, but I never felt bored.
(2) It combines various themes/tropes including school, first love, coming out, a very "tsundere" character, and one of the best love triangles I've seen - and it puts these together in a way that really works.
(3) The love triangle is especially effective because, right until the final episode, I really wasn't quite sure how it was going to end - nor was I sure how I wanted it to end. (My strong advice: Be sure not to read any spoilers before watching this series.)
(4) The four main characters are likeable and interesting, with a lot of character development over the course of the series - not only the three triangle corners Tae Kyung, Shin Woo and Da On but also Namgoong, whose bubbly personality adds a lot to the series - and yet the series does not fall into the trap of trying to do too much.
My only criticism (or maybe I just never figured it out): Seo's cryptic meeting of the mysterious man from his past ("Lee Tae Sung") and what this is supposed to mean. Former love interest? Why was this thrown in without explanation? Or was this possibly meant to be a lead-in to a second series that never happened?
