and this kids is how you get stuck with 50000 shows you don't like but HAVE to finish lol

someone save RX 🙏and all the non-droppers out there

Every drama I don’t want to watch just ends up going on my On-Hold list cuz I feel bad if I officially drop it 🤣

You could select "Not Interested", would that be better than dropped?

I have 422 titles on mine. 😆 😆

I'M GUILTY. I have 56 dramas on-hold-- but I have gone back to a finish a few lol

But tbh I'm weird, sometimes it takes me 50 years to finish somethign for no reason at all

Is anyone watching 'Heart Stain'? Is it good?

Also-- I haven't been able to go past ep 2 of 'Boy Next World'? Is it worth pushing through it?

OMG SAME! I absolutely enjoyed this masterpiece. It really hit home and had a nice tenderness to it.

Light On Me  VS  Where Your Eyes Linger Showdown Results

(In case anyone cares, lol.)

After I finished WYEL and enjoyed it, and currently on EP 12 of LOM, I can say for sure that LOM is my final pick for many of the same reasons that Mr. P outlines below.

While watching a turning point scene in EP 12, I knew.  A few thoughts:

  • I'm attracted to quirky roles such as Woo Tae Kyung,  (more of a quiet quirky) and how he expresses what's on his mind.
  • I like enemies to friends to lovers.
  • There are important messages from watching Shin Da On that I won't spoil here.
  • And I remember thinking from my first watch that No Shin Woo had a lot of patience!
  • The FL (could she be part of the triangle too, MR. P?)  is very annoying to me. If I was there I might have pulled her hair out. 🤣

Interestingly my rating changed for both series. LOM went from a 9 to a 10 and WYEL from a 10 to a 9. They switched places. I still rec watching WYEL if you haven't yet. It's really good too!

RE: Light On You -

 p43425:
(1) It's all-around well constructed, well paced and well produced. 16 episodes is unusually long for a KBL, but I never felt bored.
(2) It combines various themes/tropes including school, first love, coming out, a very "tsundere" character, and one of the best love triangles I've seen - and it puts these together in a way that really works.
(3) The love triangle is especially effective because, right until the final episode, I really wasn't quite sure how it was going to end - nor was I sure how I wanted it to end. (My strong advice: Be sure not to read any spoilers before watching this series.)
(4) The four main characters are likeable and interesting, with a lot of character development over the course of the series - not only the three triangle corners Tae Kyung, Shin Woo and Da On but also Namgoong, whose bubbly personality adds a lot to the series - and yet the series does not fall into the trap of trying to do too much.

I'm keeping up with it and have mixed feelings. The main plus is that I'm enjoying the scenes by both couples, BossNoeul and the second pair, who are unknown to me.

The rest of it is just ho hum. Nothing new nothing standing out, which is a waste considering it's BOSSNOEUL, people!!

Maybe it will turn around? I might be too optimistic since there are only 3 eps left.

I am using my response to you as an excuse to take a study break 😭

Re: Boy Next World

I am ambivalent about this series to be honest. I am glad that I went into it with very low expectations as I had predicted that it would follow a similar course as Love Sea, in terms of writing quality as it progresses from episode to episode. At this moment, with my watching experience so far, I can say that my expectations have not manifested into more positive ones.

I am finding the story-line to be a jumbled mess, and not in a good mystery way. I would think that the intention of MAME was to portray a cross dimensional /psychological puzzle BL. The further along the story goes the more I am in doubt of what I am watching. I believe that any good mystery has an irrefutable fact and then all the puzzle pieces of events are measured against this fact to complement it. For example, in a murder mystery, the facts are there is a body, there is a "killer" and there is motive; these are constants that will remain throughout the mystery (notice I said "a body" and not dead body because a mystery can have startling revelations). With this series I cannot find the grounding piece of fact to help myself navigate the events taking place. One week it is supernatural, the next it is Cir's imagination and now according to the preview, Cir has lost his fucking memories and does not know shit! (kinda like some fans right now)

Furthermore, nothing in this story is compelling me to finish it, not even the expected revelation in the finale.

As @Indie Art Girl said there are only three episodes left, so MAME for all things BL, babygirl you need to land this plane somewhere before you run out of runway, and land it somewhere with sense too!!!!!

(forgive the plane analogy considering the current events surrounding air travel)

@RXinw :

Glad to be of help with the studying 🤣

Well damn. I expected it not to be good and I have zero attachment for this series, but your post confirmed it. This is why LITA is the exception for me in the Mame universe, and not the rule.

For now this series is going on-hold, but if I get the urge to pick it up again (unlikely), it’ll probably be a 2x speed 🤣

@IndieArtGirl :

The only reason I was hesitant to drop is that I like watching BossNoeul, but I don’t know if that’s enough to make up for it *clutches heart*

Just found the synopsis for Unknow Lover (Thomas Kong novel adaptation) : "After discovering his boyfriend’s infidelity and clashing with his father, he escapes to New York for the summer. There, he meets someone who introduces him to new experiences—dressing, drinking, kissing, and things he hasn’t experienced before." This sounds really exciting to me. It could be a mature storyline for these two!! And New York!!! Idk if they'll actually film it there, but it would be cool if they did. Ah man, I so badly want this to be good!!!!

I get it!

Pretty much everything RX said about the storyline I agree with. It's all over the place.  There seems to be two camps. One where members are totally confused about what's going on and the second where members are explaining every scene and meaning.  And then there's members complaining cuz the NC scenes are too short.  🤷🏻‍♀️  ☹️

Whoa, my WTA list is blowing up. Thanks for the heads up!

You're welcome ♡. Also, same lol. I've added so many things in my 2nd plan to watch list

Where can one join this group to advocate for longer (pun intended) scenes....asking for a friend lol

Why can't I be serious lol
