I was thinking the same thing. My husband went on a 35-mile bike ride without a water bottle (the rental bike didn't have a place for it). He wasn't worried because he knew there would be vending machines everywhere. 😅☺️
Wow, no bottle holder?!?! Unheard of in my state. Even in our cars most people keep water. That's high desert living though. It's common to use camelbacks too. A group of friends and I rode through Bryce and Zion parks with packed bikes for 3 days, lol. Luckily we stayed over in hotels.
I don't see vending machines that often, at least in my area, so it was kinda funny.
