Top Form - episode 3 (finally up to date 👌)
Fellow members let me apologise in advance for the person I will become when the NC scenes start dropping because the chemistry between the leads becomes more than electrifying as the series progresses. Their chemistry is captivating, their chemistry is sizzling, their chemistry has me on the edge of my seat, only centimetres away from falling off said seat; their chemistry has me heating up with desire to put it mildly. I am not surprised that WeTv has delivered such a pairing because let us not forget that WeTv also gave us the amazing pairing and chemistry of Sam Lin & YU from We Best Love: No. 1 For You, which was a spectacular series in its own right, so I would not be shocked if they deliver well with series series as well.
The acting is so excellent in my opinion. The way they manage to intertwine the feelings the characters feel (Akin and Jin) with the emotions of the characters they are playing on set in such an inextricable manner is so enthralling to watch. It is an expression of self through art, and the fact that only Akin and Jin understand the deeper meaning in their performances and the reality of each other's feelings being conveyed adds a layer of intimacy that propels the story-line in a nuanced manner; the fact that their amazing chemistry is being used as a vehicle to deliver this story underscores it intensity.
The production is another aspect of this series I really love. You can know when money in the budget has been allocated in contemplation of the right aesthetics. Everything looks expensive, tasteful and aesthetically pleasing, even the skyline shots add a sense of luxury. Reminds me of a well funded K-Drama. It is fitting considering this is a story about movie stars, but what is lovely about this rich setting they have created is that it is not ostentatious.
Anyway, enough of my gushing, I look forward to episode 4 with bated breath, considering the ending of episode 3.
