Weekly dose of weekend dramas:
Loy Kaew First Love ep 5
I no longer know what is going on with this plot, it's all over the place. I don't understand, but I will watch until the end. Maybe it'll make more sense in the end. Probably not, but let's try...
Knock Out ep 6
I thought the title was a reference to boxing, but clearly, it's a reference to drugs. By the end of this series everyone will join Addicts Anonymous.
It's still all about the money, money, but this time it's connected with an actual boxing competition. This competition is about gambling again, I guess, since no one bothers to do a doping control test.
Somebody needs to brew some lemon balm tea for Thun, he needs it.
My Sweetheart Jom ep 5
Yo recklessly saved Jom from being shot, now who's going to save him? Because they'll be coming for him.
What is wrong with Jom's brother? He's getting on my nerves! I know he was trying to fix his family situation, but he did it in the wrong way, completely overlooking the feelings of the people involved in the conflict.
I hope all the subplots, Jom and villagers, Yo and his high school friends, won't overshadow the main plot - the love story of our main couple.
Pit Babe 2 ep 7
I closed the windows and locked the doors before watching, because I have a severe reaction to KentaKim. I'm literally writing down the minutes they appear on the screen, so that I can later rewatch just their storyline. Kenta is doing his Kenta things, but I'm so happy that now he has Kim in his life. I love how Kim doesn't leave Kenta's side. He could care less, but he is there, right by him, as if he wanted to show they're both in this together. My KentaKim are going to be the death of me.
Willy is that kind of villain I love to hate and I can't wait to see what he's going to do with Charlie (sorry, not sorry).
Charlie is his selfless self and he keeps on sacrificing for others: for Babe, for Jeff... I bet Tony wants his power, because he wants the ability to absorb the powers of other alphas, so he can become 'the alpha of the alphas' (capo di tutti capi).
I'm quite liking it so far (lots of credit to KentaKim), waiting for the next episode.
The Next Prince ep 7
This week on The Royal Games:
Prince Calvin's adventures in Emmaly: who's his mysterious friend?
Princess Ava: her greatest enemy in the competition is her gender
Charan: ups and downs of being a royal guard
Chakri's guide on being the best royal servant
The Art of Seduction by Prince Khanin
Another solid episode. I swear, the only two people I'd trust in that palace are Charan and Chakri. Grandpa is still his power-obsessed self and dad is as weird as ever. Also, I don't know if it's just me, but is Khanin drawing in his horns? I hope he won't let his grandpa have the upper hand.
I seriously thought the poison was on the fletching, but it was actually on the bow?
Last but not least, that NC scene... Wow, it was beautiful. Their kisses looked natural (you know, sometimes these tongue actions look choreographed). And the moment Charan said "breathe", was the moment I literally stopped breathing. Can't wait for the next episode.
My Stubborn ep 9
Oh, frustrating. I'm frustrated with Jun, with Sorn, with Tai, with the scriptwriters... I can't stand that trope, where the problem could have been solved by having a conversation, but everyone involved refuse to open their mouth! Now we've got not only two heartbroken men, but also a bunch of friends dragged into their mess. I'm glad that Jun has finally set up some boundaries, but I just wish he had done it in a different manner. It also seems that my initial theory about Sorn is wrong and it's a pity, because it made much more sense to me.
Tai is the pot calling the kettle black. I loved what he said to Sorn, I just wished he had followed his own advice. Because Champ is right, what even are they? Man, they're testing my patience.
Boys in Love ep 9
Oh yes, I'm definitely putting this on my comfort drama list. Everything about it is just so heartwarming and cute. Boys are adorable, I love the way they navigate their relationship and learn what it truly means to be with someone. They grow up and mature in front of my eyes. It's a beautiful coming-of-age story. I'll be rewatching more than once, for sure.

I'm so busy with my job and other projects, I'll have to leave the BL world for two weeks. I have no idea, how I'll find the time to catch up later on 😭
