I thought a bit more about The Sparkle in Your Eye and want to say it was good to see a BL about making a BL with some of the hardships and injustices highlighted, as simple as it was.

Also, I can't get the scene out of my mind when Su Yi makes a drink behind the bar for Pei Jia. Huang Xiao's eyes and face really have an impact on me for some reason. He had my complete attn in other scenes too.

This isn't one of the best made BLs out there. There's plenty more that could have been done, but it's good enough for my Top BL Picks list.

Okay I have seen 4 episodes of Revenged Love and it's the best series I've seen in a while, maybe years?

I laughed so much, they have their funny moments. I also can't believe it's uncensored. Since it's a Chinese BL, did they produce it in a different country? I don't know the story of this drama.

 YamaKen:

Good question. It's done through Vision Moments Media Ltd., a Singapore-based production company, and it's not officially on any domestic Chinese platform - but clearly it's finding its way to a huge Chinese fanbase. I think it has us all astonished - and fearful that it could yet be shut down, even if the past week's delay was a false alarm.

Right? It makes me anxious too that they might shut it down. I'm glad at least we got half of it done so far and it will probably be kept forever online. But of course we want all of it to see the light of day. ;_;

Speaking of Chinese and BL...even though what I'm about to post isn't a BL series but from the K-pop competition show I'm watching rn called Boys ll Planet.  EP 2 is the Chinese male contestants and they are wilding. Here's some battle shots of contestants that just met and they r having staring or closeness contests. This is before the actual show of auditions even start. The rest of the male group watching r going nuts.  I'm having so much fun watching!

OMG the Next Prince episode 12. I can’t believe they killed Chakri! That’s like killing the dog! Unacceptable. 😢😢😢😢 A lot of what transpired was upseting. I really want the ending to be that all three heirs decide to rule together instead of finishing the competition or giving the power to their fathers. But I know that won’t happen. I loved it though when they worked together to get out of the forest.

😅😂🤣  ikr. The game, while watching, is to find the guy telling the truth.

🤣🤣🤣

They keep using music to try and make me feel bad for Hua Yong , but like… I would if I didn’t already know he was insane 🙃🤣🤣

The Next Prince: Uncut - episode 12

I am not surprised that Prince Wasin is the culprit behind the assassination attempts on Khanin, Ramil and Ava. Him being a villain is very obvious to me due to the fact that he has no heir effectively putting him outside of the realm of power as well as his eagerness to be helpful throughout the series without any apparent motif outside of claiming benevolence.

The real plot twist for me is how far Prince Wasin's  motivations for revenge ran. The revelation of what happened to his wife and how it sets off the chain of events stemming from his revenge and grief is a good plot twist, compounded by the King's closest advisor being his wife's brother. I think even more than this revelation revealing Prince Wasin's acts of evil, it underscores just how nefarious and power hungry the King is. In my opinion he remains the most villainous.

It seems the King had some hand in the death of Khanin's mother. I look forward to finding out to what extent he is involved come the next episode.

As I mentioned in my post last night, time is really flying by. There are now only two episodes left. As fast as these series are dropping, they are also wrapping up.

I look forward to the next episode.

Just finished 2gether.

Overall, I’d say it wasn’t anything special, a bit frustrating even. But I did enjoy their cuddling scenes (and that condom bouquet took me out 🤣). The side couples were ok, but Mil was quite annoying lol

Sarawat did kinda get on my nerves in the last two episodes and I’m glad that Tine really showed him how hurtful his actions were.

Rating: 6.5/10

Looking forward to starting Still 2gether soon 🙂

 p43425:

(re "Boys Vibe") With the more recent episodes, it's increasingly clear that this reality show is really about the latter (BL acting aspirations). Unfortunately, it's also starting to drag a bit for me, and I don't feel the development happening. (The product placements are also very heavy-handed, but I don't mind that so much if a series otherwise engages me.)

i fully agree, and i keep watching for Tino he is so adorable

 p43425:
Speaking of painful, I watched the newly fansubbed first episode of "Renai Ruby" ("The Proper Way To Write Love"). Too soon to say how I feel about it. So far, it's an original story, despite the superficial familiarity of the meeting-again-X-years-after-school trope. The chemistry between the protagonists is strange, and the opening scene and school backstory is very painful. Nevertheless, knowing where the story is going, I think I'll like it more as it goes along.

Added bonus: Dai (from "The Boyfriend") will have a supporting role (still from series)!

im not sure where i can watch with eng sub 🥺

its funny how both seasons have something related to BL/having bl actors.

I'm just starting Reset and wonder if there's a revenge plot in this story?

there‘s not a revenge plot so much as a series of actions motivated by knowing who is trustworthy or not. But all of Armin’s negative feelings towards the other characters are offset by his positive interactions with Thada. There are definitely a lot of twists and turns in the ongoing conflicts between Armin and the side characters, but I didn’t find them so upsetting because they are offset by the strong main couple.
