I finished Depth of Field. I know others said it ended abruptly but i really loved it. I gave it a 9. Am I going soft giving 2 shows a 9 in two days? Or is the content just that good?

I think the Japanese have the ability to convey complex emotions and complicated situations quickly and with a certain poignancy that BLs from other countries don’t do as well or as often. They make routine stories seem special and toxic or unhealthy behavior seem routine.

Oh wow, we must have been watching it at the same time cuz I watched it tonight too. I wasn't as impressed with this series as you, but really happy there wasn't OTT acting. I just felt so-so about the story overall and the actors/characters.  🤷🏻‍♀️

It's a 7/10 for me.

A Sketchy Job!

After Depth of Field I went right to A Sketchy Job! and LOVED it, but I don't see the final ep. out anywhere. It's short and simple but it's got the chemistry going on btwn the cold no-nonsense guy vs lighthearted cutie pie lead. The cutie melts the heart of the cold one. I  ❤️  that!!

Lots of LOL scenes. That's all I need to be happy. Added to my fav BL list. Now I just need to see the last ep!! 😆

ETA:  Lawrence Zhang was the lead in Mermaid's Jade!

For short, low-budget indie productions, I quite enjoyed "Trapped in Osaka" and "Infidelity, It's A Disease" from this same channel, so I'm not surprised to hear your enthusiastic feedback. My memory with the first two is that they first release to members, then subsequently make it free - so maybe give it a few days and see if the final ep. 5 is available. I'll definitely watch it once all episodes are out.
