To the new members here

No, I haven't watched Squid Games, lol.

I'm going to attempt to talk about a shortish drama I just watched. Everything was perfect until the ending, which left me traumatized so I'm trying to find the right words without going off. I was waaay more invested emotionally than I realized. 

And that's what I loved about this series. Papa & Daddy made me feel things I don't experience often in a drama. Especially a BL. A typical story is the couple get together close to the end. This story is about the couple already being married and raising a child. There's one ep that goes back to their first meeting (well done, cute, and with a super hot scene and kissing btw). 

There's a nice balance of couple time and parent time. They make it through challenges together without a lot of drama. Dora mentioned she cried at a parent scene recently. That happened to me too in this series.  I even needed a tissue .  😭 😭

I can't totally describe their relationship but they're close, respectful, communicate well and are considerate. I was feeling warm fuzzies (and more for the lovey-dovey scene) and thought everything was going perfectly, then BAM! the rug is pulled out from under the feet of one of the partners and meeeee too. I feel so betrayed and upset.  Like why did that even have to happen? Waaaaaah! 💀 💀

I'm not watching S2. I can't watch through the pain and struggles before getting to the end. 

I'm a coward. 🙀  Maybe I can a few months from now. 

ETA: Okay, I could be overreacting just a bit. But not by much.

I'm watching it too, and I totally agree with you. The OST makes every scene hit harder. My favorite track is You, the Answer.

I see you guys are currently doing a challenge, and I think it's the same one that was the very first challenge I ever did last year at the same time not long after I joined the community. I'm sorry I'm missing out on all of it, but I just don't have the bandwidth to do it this year.

If you guys have noticed I'm not chiming in on things in here is frequently as I used to. I'm dealing with a very heavy load of things that I'm struggling with as life is getting exceedingly more difficult here in the US, and I'm worried about my near future. The only thing keeping me sane right now are a couple of close friends,  the BLs that were are all enjoying (as they give me a little bit of escape), and having you guys here to share with also means alot. 🥰

i've been a little less active for the exact same reason so i totally feel you on that, it's getting very overwhelming. i'm back hanging out in rhyzohm's stream rn trying to cope lol

but i'm sending you strength and support, along with anyone else here dealing with what's going on in the US right now. having this group to chat with and bl's to escape in definetly helps 🫶🫶🫶

This is a great episode. Honestly there is a lot to talk about here, but I am too lazy to type so much lol

Plus anything significant I might have wanted to say has left my mind; I was scrolling through IG reels while watching the episode and I came across a reel that had me laughing so much so that tears were coming to my eyes lol
